So many of our players from the league I oversee have dropped out and stopped playing because they're not having fun essentially playing blindfolded ☹️
Guys, I think the messed it up and they know it.
I have some good background in product development in big tech companies - the fact that this happening in such a non consistent manner, indicate that it’s really hard, and could be impossible to find the root cause.
In such cases sometime the only option to actually do a re-write on the entire module/service that carries the logic of the FFB in this case.
I, for example, don’t have FFB only for Player two comptroller in split screen mode on PS5.
In all other case I have full FFB with my controller.
That's the main mode I play and it makes it really bad experience.

If thats the case, then let them work until they get a fix, and give refund to all of us that legit cant play anymore. Then if they finally actually somehow manage to do what they get paid to do, let us choose to buy the game agian.

Right now, its very likely looking like, they are gonna leave the game as it is, keep our money as well like thevies and sc um, and actually just wont do anything about it. As of now, this is something thats not affecting every controller user, and since we are already not most of the playerbase, they will actually just leave the game as is for rest of year and then they will start marketing their new broken garbage game for next year.

@jenny_a_m @EA_Kent is there any update on this? This has been an issue since launch on both my Xbox Series X controller and my Dualsense controller (I'm on PC), FFB is incredibly weak in general and the trigger rumble for traction on throttle is basically non-existent, it kind of feels like it's not using information from the rear wheels at all.
There is a mod that attempts to fix this and it certainly helps with feeling bumps and such on the track but it doesnt fix the triggers and you can't use it in any online gamemode.

Here's another logic. Yesterday I visited my friend who owns a Logitech G27. No feedback on throttle or brakes either! And I asked him whether he noticed a difference between this years game and previous ones, and he said the feedback's been the same. Could it be that they intentionally removed the rumble to equalize budget wheel players and controller players?
- Crunchar3 years agoNew Traveler
@StefanKrunic97No, it's just bugged. Here's a thread discussing broken FFB on Logitech wheels. There are many complaints on this forum about FFB if you use the search function, mostly about controllers and Logitech wheels. Improved FFB on controllers was literally a selling point of the game. Here's the part about triggers.

So, will there be an update?
Or just ignore this any further and then give us a "Tyre allocation"-like text in a few weeks?
- 3 years ago@Oesi_F1 The only way to escalate this would be through social media.
If a person here with more than a handful of followers will post on Twitter, tag EA, and she the link here for all of us to retweet, etc. --- that list might have a chance of getting noticed. - StefanKrunic973 years agoNew Scout@cc910eafad7c24a3 I'm pretty sure that they are well aware of the issue and it's a conscious decision not to spend too much time/effort/money on it.

My force-feedback and vibrations are gone from patch 1.07 (2 months ago), I made a thread about it when it happened explaining the current problem and none of the community managers even acknowledged it, 2 months later and playing on a controller is still dead 🙂
- 3 years ago
yup exactly the same case for me @v8u5jco54ukp
- 3 years ago
3 Months for fixing a bug, absurd.
We are still waiting for the fix.
- StefanKrunic973 years agoNew Scout
And still waiting. Guys stop sleeping.
I torrented an older version of F1 22, I'll test the feedback there tomorrow and let you know what's happening.
@StefanKrunic97 omg how did you manage to, also pls share here this is exactly what i need
- StefanKrunic973 years agoNew Scout
@tkc1hd9r7m9fI "illegally" downloaded it from a torrent website, but if I share the link they would cancel culture my @ss. Anyway, the 1.05 version of the game has a working force feedback, and here's a video to prove it.
Hit that XP+ button.

This is such a strange bug... I personally have no issues with force feedback in general, everything works. But, then again, I am using official Microsoft Xbox One controller.
Though, my issues with FFB in spectator mode seemed to be mostly gone after I updated my gamepad firmware to the latest version (through PC Xbox Accessories app)... But maybe that was just that one race, I will need to test it more next weekend.

@mantazzoLTU i get that bug alongwith all the others 😞
@StefanKrunic97 so I also obtained this version of the game, gotta check it for myself now once i install it

I have no idea why my text was bold and underlined wtf
- 3 years ago
I'm seriously starting to think they will not fix this bug due to many people complaining on 2021 for how ""broken"" it was, and the way to balance this is to convince us that this is actually a bug
I lost hope for it so i guess i will not buy the next year's game.
- 3 years ago@StefanKrunic97 Man it's sad these guys don't really give a*****. You should see check the ffb of f1 2021 or f1 2020 and then compare it to this game. Its an absolute joke.
- StefanKrunic973 years agoNew Scout@godwinrubombora1 Watch the video I sent, the feedback was fine in 1.05 version of F1 22.

Keep spamming their customer support. This stuff works slowly but will accelerate things more than they are moving now. If enough of us do it, it'll get flagged and investigated.

EA Staff (Retired)
Hey all,
Wanted to update this as this is still very much being investigated by the team.
One thing we'd love for you to try for us is the settings in this thread created by @BarryBL over here on our old forums. Some forum members have experienced similar issues in the past and have found that switching to around about these settings has helped them out.
For reference, these are:
- Vibration and Force Feedback: On
- Vibration & Force Feedback Strength: 75
- On Track Effects: 35
- Rumble Strip Effects: 25
- Off Track Effects: 20
- Wheel Damper: 10
- Understeer Enhance: Off
For those still experiencing this, could you try those settings out for us and let us know how you get on?
- 3 years ago@jenny_a_m Why does it take you forever to reply? To provide some insight on your efforts, to give us all some hope.
Please keep us posted on a regular cadence on the progress to solve this!
The fact that you’re still suggesting such workarounds (which I doubt will work) more than 3 months after the game was released - make me really pessimistic about how close you are to really solve this. - 3 years ago@jenny_a_m I have no FFB for player2 only on split screen on PS5.
Would that also apply for this usecse? - 3 years ago@jenny_a_m Thanks Jenny. Can you please confirm this is also being checked and tested with the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller? If so, what are the steps to follow to resolve this?
