@jenny_a_m It does not work. In fact it makes it worse. PC - Xbox 360 Controller. Please watch my video explaining the difference.

Thanks for this, @StefanKrunic97 - could you turn your trigger rumble to 'off' and let us know if that makes any difference?

Another cosmetic patch and the issues hasn't been resolved.
- thetruesmithy4 years agoRising Rookie@StefanKrunic97 I've give up with them, they clearly don't care

these scum actually are so shameless its funny.
How the * can any company be this shameless man. They havent even offered a refund for people that barely got to play the game cuz of this issue its insane to me.
How is this not some issue everyone is telling them about? - StefanKrunic974 years agoNew Scout
@EA_Kent , @jenny_a_m Come on, react!
Here's a GREAT example of the issue. 2 minutes is all it takes!

Still under investigation, seriously ? Thieves!

Just a reminder, this is the biggest and most commented thread in the bugs section. FIX THIS!
- StefanKrunic974 years agoNew Scout
FIX this stupid bug already
- Oesi_F14 years agoNew Vanguard
So this is dead right?
Please post your usual explanation then.
That you are very happy about the feedback from the community on this problem, but "unfortunately" nothing can be done in this years game lifeycle. But sure do you hope to improve in future titles.
Just end the misery here please.

boycott this game so that they can learn hard way

Yet Codemasters Arcade racer Grid Legends controller support is really really decent.
I posted some pictures off some off the FFB options and settings aswell as the 11 extra assist settings 🙄
If a adapted version off this was added on to F1 22: It would have dramatically boosted how well the game was received.

And still nothing in the newest patch 😂 what a joke

@StefanKrunic97 Are you able to share your experience with turning off trigger rumble when using an Xbox 360 gamepad. You say it makes it worse but how can it be worse than 'zero' as shown in your video comparing 1.07 and 1.11? Would be good to help understand - thank you! - ScarDuck144 years agoLegend@CM_TGK Just in case you didn’t view the video with sound on. When he put the controller so it was touching his desk. With one patch you could hear the controller vibrating against the desk. With the other patch you couldn’t. Not the most scientific test granted. But there was a difference
- 4 years ago
Well I have got some vibrations, havent downloaded this last patch tho. In the experience on earlier patch FFB has suddenly dissapeared again. The FFB i had was very weak. Made a comparison to f1 2021 and the difference is massive. On f1 2021 i sometimes need to restart the game to get ffb, but i can live with that as long as it works properly when its there!
Since I lost the league season of this autum because of the lack of ffb ive only tested the game from time to time to see if ffb have been fixed. For the most part it hasnt worked.
Buying a wheel is out of the question since i drive on a laptop and i dont want to use money on a wheel. I will stick to the controller as far as f1 22 has this option.
If EA pull some magic out of their hat on the f1 23 i may consider buying it, but seeing the bugs frequently occuring these last two games i recon f1 22 was my last(of many) f1 games.
Too bad because i have loved this games, apart from f1 22.
Spending so many months not giving us a fix for this problem, nor giving us some feedback for many weeks has really made me quite upset at times.
EA could have said that we have a problem, we dont know if we can fix it and offering those of us struggeling with this a refund.
A refund is still possible u know, EA!
If I bought a car with a major issue I would return it(if they could not fix it) and get my money back!
Well EA, Im sure you soon will start your work on f1 23 and then not giving f1 22 so much fixing any more. I guess we wont see so many new patches the next months.
I hope that EA will do a better job on the next f1 game.
I saw a video yesterday of a race where one of the cars had rain, but all the others had dry weather. I think that says a lot on how catastrophic this game is.
And finally, who gives a rats * if hamiltons helmet dont have the right colour. We want a game that works.
Im out!

the one clown they managed to get to care enough to read this thread couldnt even watch and listen to what the video was explaining ?
How can you be so f ucking useless its mind boggling - StefanKrunic974 years agoNew Scout
@CM_TGKOkay first of all, I compared 1.05 and 1.11, not 1.07.
Second, there's zero feedback on throttle and brakes, but there is some feedback when turning/going through a corner. When you turn off trigger vibrations/rumble, you get no feedback when going through a corner and no feedback on throttle/brakes.
Do you seriously expect a guy who legitimately paid for the game to do the testing for you? After 27 pages and 200+ complaints for it ? - ScarDuck144 years agoLegend
Ive been playing around with controller settings and Camera POV.
Good(so so) news is you can dial out the stick input lag. Due to the stability wotsit. Which as I said before by reducing Camera POV. As it definitely makes steering more responsive. (I don’t know why) But also you need to increase max wheel rotation. I’ll try to explain.
I believe the steering stability activates when the game detects aggressive steering inputs at high speed. Because there is little travel with the stick. It’s hard to be precise in high speed corners and most of us will over do it moving the stick left or right. Moving the stick 100% either way with max steering rotation 360 degrees or left is basically adding full steering lock. Do that in any car F1 or a 50hp road car. At speed you will crash. So increasing the steering rotation in effect gives you more travel and more precise so less likely to add excessive steering angle and reduces the game activating pad stability. Plus it means For tight chicanes is alittle less responsive but reducing pov will negate that.
I’ve also noticed something I didn’t expect. Which is more FFB and Trigger feedback. actually felt feedback from the throttle when accelerating. Don’t get excited it’s not much. Which makes me think it could be something to do with wheel rotation. As The Triggers are great when driving the supercars. Which have 2 and halfish times the rotation.
my settings which won’t suit many as these depend on other factors such as Tv/monitor size. How far you sit from it. Plus how much finesse your left thumb has not to mention thumb eye coordination etc etc
Camera TV pod -10 pov -20 angle +20 height TV offset -15 pov -12 lateral -15 angle +15 height. Cockpit-5 pov. -5 angle +10 height.
FFB 150. On track 35. Rumble 30. Off track 20. Wheel damper 5. Understeer off. Maximum Wheel rotation 450.
The default pov and ffb settings are not a one size fits all and need to be dialled in to best suit each player’s driving style and environment.
Youtube Gurus best controller settings ever are all wrong. They all will tell you to reduce wheel rotation by 100ish degrees. Which was the way in last years game. All those videos are posted by guys that all have high end wheel and rig setups. and then they get copied by lazy YouTube gurus who post their controller settings. It’s just another video they can get clicks for.
Remember it’s the same guys who got early access and gave big shouts out to EA and Codemasters for an amazing game with no bugs whatsoever.
@ScarDuck14 I dont think you understand whats the issue MOST OF US ARE FACING. None of these settings, and changing them is gonna work for us. I dont know if you have seen video posted by @StefanKrunic97, it very clearly shows, ffb is not low or marginal or weak, ITS NON EXISTENT.
none of these camera(?!) or ffb or any other settings is gonna do anything, when its just straight up missing
- ScarDuck144 years agoLegend@tkc1hd9r7m9f Yeah I posted this on the wrong board. But as I did notice a increase in FFB although weak I thought I may aswell leave it up

Certainly not in the last two weeks. Even devs that can’t write working games still get holidays 🙄
Let’s not buy the titles in 2023, including F1 23.
maybe in 2024 when is F1 23 is on discount 🤷♂️ - StefanKrunic973 years agoNew Scout
How hard can it be to bring back a feature that ALREADY existed in the game. Damn thieves!
I had some success with my Elite Series 2 controller on PC by using it on Bluetooth.
Stops working completely when the controller is plugged in. Terrible for response times, unless it's a conspiracy to make you buy the BT dongle.

Tons of people already explained it but let me try:
Before Patch 1.07 controller force feedback worked pretty much as intended and most people didn't have big problems anymore. Then Patch 1.07 came in which added Portimao. Since this patch for some reason the rear axis and wheels don't give any feedback at all. Only the front wheels give vibrations when driving over curbs or when under stress, as it should be. In the patch notes you stated that you "Improved trigger feedback when using an Xbox Series controller on PC". Since that change on controller feedback on Patch 1.07 the rear wheels have NO feedback whatsoever even though it worked perfectly fine before! You guys should be ashamed that you still haven't fixed a feature THAT LITERALLY ALREADY WORKED BEFORE, IS ESSENTIAL TO THE GAME and which you broke with a patch. In the last F1 games i consistently had over 500 hours of playtime but I don't even have 100 in this game.
