Summarize your bug Downloaded 10.1 update. Tried to start game, screen message says Your Save Game is Corrupted. Lost all settings and game progress. Unable to repair. Game performed perfectly last time I played-NO Save errors

What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot load your game progress or settings
What do you expect to see? A playable game that ran perfectly before a mandatory update.
I went to play the game this morning. The game informed me of a new update was available and proceeded to download and install the 10.1 update.
After the update and installation completed, I tried to start the game again. I received to error screens saying My Save Game is Corrupt. It gave me an option to attempt a repair, with no success.
I selected the option to continue without saving. I entered the game and I have lost all career progress, all my car set ups for each track, and the controller set is gone also it’s wiped clean.
please advise.

I have the same issue on PS5.
This maybe down to the new patch in some cases but Avoid accepting game invites before starting the game first this as been a bug since 2021. For future reference if the game starts and it asks you to create a new avatar DO NOT press progress close your game down and restart your console/PC. This won't get back all your settings or saves but is one to look out for in future.

Summarize your bug Co-op career, just finished Monaco and about to start Baku. Lobby settings locked and changed quali to one shot. Saved progress, backed out of career mode to the main menu. Save game gone telling us “this two player career has not started”. Lobby set to Bahrain, weekend structure locked to short, which is wasn’t on as we were running full.
Consoles restarted, games rebooted and still no save. Bought the game for this mode and lost six full weekends of progress and countless hours.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Absolutely has to be the new update, was working fine before but apparently this save corruption/disappearance is an issue dating back to F1 2021?
What happens when the bug occurs? It acts like we’ve yet to start a two player career, no next race photo, no drivers standings, a lobby for Bahrain and uneditable weekend structure
What do you expect to see? Save game progress returned or a refund!
