@DavidG53Hey David, sorry to bother you again😜
I tested a few things today due to the interesting things we could learn yesterday about the 2022 tires (most of it can be modded worst case😝)..
Anyway i have to say you are absolutely right about the grip levels at Bahrain. I was adjusting them to fit the 2021 laptimes as the gap between 21 and 22 cars seem appropriate with 1.5s.. Well i forgot that in 22 they only had the C3 tyre as the soft in contrast to the C4 in 21 which obviously means less grip but from the tires, not the track. Also 21 Bahrain the cars werent set up perfectly yet (likely due to regulation change).. So Bahrain is around 5% too much grip just like Spain, France, Hungary or COTA. Most tracks are either fairly perfect with their grip like Silverstone or Zandvoort or range between that and 5%.
Some tracks however are up to ~8% off with their grip, funny thing - all the worst tracks are C5 tyre tracks (all except Austria and Abu Dhabi) and Monaco possibly the least offset of the rest.
This works especially well rebalancing of weight distribution and front to rear tyre grip. At some tracks quite challenging - Monaco and Azerbaijan slow speed sections - but still fun IMO. I could work out rough percentages for each track in F1 2021 (so 4%, 5% 6% etc. as more detailed is completely wasted effort..).. Makes the cars feel a bit more alive at times but not terribly uncontrollable with the tyre grip rebalancing, not to mention more accurate laptimes for all below 105 AI slower than real life..
