@DavidG53 as no-one else has commented on the video above I'll just say two things. Firstly thanks to you and the Codemasters team for making more of an effort to share game details pre-launch this year. Secondly, the one thing in the latest video that makes me a little uneasy was your comment about further physics changes post-launch to improve how accelerating out of slow speed corners is handled. Others will no doubt feel differently but one thing I found very frustrating with F1 2021 was the way the handling was changed over the game's life-cycle, undermining previous efforts to learn how to drive the cars and to optimise setups. Personally I'd like to see any changes in F1 22 either very early on or not at all.
I'd be curious how others feel about this?
An insight video in-depth like this one is all I wanted so thanks David and everybody for sharing. Can't wait to try the 2022 cars as it looks like the developers put a really huge and thought effort to do all of that. Also looking forward to traction improvement after release!

I've recently "upgraded" to a Logitech G923 (since Thrustmaster and Fanatec have no official support or service of any sort in Brazil 🙃) and while driving is way better and more engaging, the feeling the Dualsense triggers gave for locking up under braking was just spot on.
@Ultrasonic_77 Codemasters and David here could offset some of that frustration by tweaking the default preset setups if need be.

I understand where you're coming from but that wouldn't really help with either of the concerns I mentioned to be honest. I remember posts during the life-cycle of F1 2021 of people complaining about quite how long they'd spend optimising setups ahead of a league racing seasons starting for example. It all depends what impact changes have though.
I watched a video of SimRacing Setup a while ago. It's different from what I know about differentials, so I'm starting to question.
If wheel spin easily occurs when exiting a corner, it means you to lower the on-throttle differential.
But what I knew was the opposite.
In rain condition, I knew that the on-throttle differential could be raised up and vice versa to turn corners faster, but the car would spin easily.
What is right?

No makes it worse, but allows to get away with loss of traction more easily.
With a locked differential, while traction is better, when you break traction, it is much harder to catch/save it.
A simple test you can do is doughnuts.
You will see is simpler to do doughnuts with differential at 100% compared to 50%.
Is a bit like in my old Mustang with open differential, I can't do doughnuts with it lol, one wheel spins and it tends to send the car straight after the first initial bite in one direction.
Another test you can do is differential at high speed. Because of the high load and grip on the tyre, with differential at 100, is way too tight, while at 50 it will turn a lot more, making the car looser.
Then what would be good safe operating
On throttle setting to use !
I have heard between a setting for on
Throttle of between 51 52. 53.
But I might be wrong there. Especially for people on controller like myself.
And with that well what is good operating window in team of the Off Throttle.

IRL compounds are announced by Pirelli for every track, some weeks before races. See images attached (images from Pirelli), for example usually softs are C3 and C4 compounds.
Is there any source I could check which compounds are used for softs, mediums and hards for each track in F122?
I'm referring to our previous discussion about the tyre temps and temperature/wear loss of grip effect.

Okay, so I literally cannot make my setup any softer at the rear and I'm using so much rear toe.... WHAT is with the snap oversteer in slow/medium/high speed corners?
I'm not exceeding surface temp grip level either... maximum 118c under high load or under traction. The car just snaps on me for no reason.
For example, soft tyre at Australia, L23 so 1 lap old and up to temp... I go through T6 in 6th and it just lets go. I SHOULD NOT be losing rear grip at that point!
I need to know. How can I fix it?
Does brake temps affect tyre temps?
