I don't really get why people say that traction is harder than last year. It's true that the car can spin in 4th gear, but in the lower gears traction feels much better than F1 2021. I don't really understand why it is that 4th gear seems to be able to spin me out without any notice, but I think it will be manageable once I get a bit more used to it.
My questions to @DavidG53 would be:
Do you acknowlegde that the traction seems (maybe is) easier in gear 1, 2 and 3, but can be somewhat unpredictable in 4th gear? Will the changes to the torque also impact 4th gear?
I've done quite a few laps around Jeddah by now, and turn 3 is a good example. You can barely call it a corner, but just a slight steering input is enough to lose all traction in 4th gear. In F1 2021 I would lose the car at turn 2 when still in second or third gear. Somehow I have zero issues with that phase of the corner in F1 22, but it's the part after that catches me out. In F1 2021 4th gear felt like a safe point to really smash the throttle (in dry conditions), but now I have to be careful in 4th gear.
I'm aware that my problem might not be with 4th gear in particular, but it seems to me like it only happens in 4th gear. Also I saw other people in my league saying the same.
Besides that 4th gear spin I'm really loving the handling so far. Will need a lot more hours to really get it into my system, but I like the direction you and your team are heading.
