@taattor It's actually pretty interesting how they wear differently. I'm gonna split them up, because there's a lot of data here.

You can see the C1 compound wears very linearly right until the 56% mark, then it starts hitting the cliff. This tire isn't used that often, but if you're at somewhere like Barcelona, this would be the hard compound. You'd definitely want to switch around 65% at the latest.

Quite a significant jump in wear rate from the C1. About a 43% increase.

This tire wears slightly differently to the C1. It similarly loses very little grip at first, but then quickly has a massive drop from 6% to 13%, before settling into a linear curve again. Once again you'll want to switch tires around the 60% mark.

@ActuallyImJulie @Thank you for that.  As you took the time I’ll take the time to read and understand it.  But honestly it’s wasted on me.  If car feels pointy at the front and grippy at the rear.   Providing I’m not massively off the pace or predicted to melt my tyres within a lap. I go with it.    

Im a caveman.  I don’t read instructions I don’t ask for directions.   Quick start guides take to long.   Statistics are great and I love cricket and watched money ball a thousand times.   but stats don’t understand what feels  good.  😂  when a car feels good it gives you confidence to attack.   

Always do.  Don’t mean to come across as a know it all because of this because I don’t. But I put over 900 hours into my team last year. Soon as car maxed I restarted a new my team career. So always drove a fat dog off a car.  Only ever drove a Mercedes and a red bull for a few laps. So after to many hours.  Knowing when tyres were worn or just hot became second nature. I very rarely put up the tyres temp panel on the mfd.  even though as I like a pointy front I would often melt the fronts.   With the wear in general. Wear starts effecting all parts between 50-60%   

It looks like everyone is focused on the pressures regarding tyre temp/wear management, which is fine, but I'm wondering what I can do with the rest of the car.

Geometry, diffs, aero and springs for example... they also effect tyre temps and wear rates... so what tips would be recommended in those areas to help with temps management while also having a quick car @DavidG53? 

@DavidG53  just a quick follow up.  Gearbox with  16% durability improvement has  done 61 laps and has 20% wear.  Ice has 14%   And I have yet to start qualifying at Jeddah.  

Rough guess at current rate I’m  gunna going through a ton off gearboxes.  😭 I’m already short shifting 5,6 and 7. I pride myself on mechanical sympathy.   😀

@BankaiBullett  softer  mechanical grip settings.  Namely ARB and Stiffness.  Brake pressures and balance.  But to soft and you sacrifice responsiveness.   The default settings are and should be the base off your setup.   I’ll soften the front in general and stiffen the rear for good rotation.   As I use pad reduce pressure to aid trail braking.  And run equal or inverted wings.  Where I point that’s where I go.
