ATTENTION Mr @DavidG53 before when i first went on track post patch it was a quick session. New my team career using complete default just to see what had changed and although everything with torque and gear ratios felt good. It wasn’t a proper test.
Now I have started another new my team career with everything set as I like it. And I promise I’m not fanboy trying to gain your favour. But what you have given me is by far the best all round model for how I play the game.. pad and auto gears. Can’t ever remember being able to hold a low gear through a corner with so much ease.
I think I’m probably the only person that hadt to increase ai🤣 Nothing to shout about still sub 85.
Started my team as a mid team. As ever I’ve Focused on chassis and aero. And opted for Renault power it may have the lowest performance. But it gives more usable power when accelerating out off slow corners Even as a mid team. My team car is still a top heavy fat drag dog and no downforce. But now longer ratios gives more top speed which means 195- 200mph on Bahrain main straight without drs or ers. And only being dominated on the straights by Mercedes, Ferrari and Red bull. Which is as it should be
However gears 6 and 7 do need to be shorter. Mainly because it’s destroying my gearbox 15 laps during practice taking it relatively easy and 5% wear. For time being it’s not to bad as I can manually shift up 6 and 7 although not being used to manually shifting it means I either forgot or short shift. 🙄
I’d say the only other minor problem is which comes with using longer gears when using automatic. And that’a it doesn’t change down as quick😀 under braking but i understand it’s a trade off.
Thankyou David. I’m just sorry it’s hard for people to really appreciate what a great job you have done because off issues beyond your control.
