Downshifting - Logitech G29 Steering Wheel

 Staff help. I started a Career with Williams (worst car overall) and I have had problems with downshifting in every race. After a few laps when I'm going to downshift, the gearbox rattles more than once, sometimes even twice. Ex. I'm on a long straight and when I get to the end, when downshifting from 8th to 7th or 6th gear, it drops to 5, sometimes 4. This is getting in the way of my gameplay. It looks like the gearbox is having problems, but I already changed it to a new one and the problem still persists. I don't know if this is from the game, as I tested it in F1 2020 and this problem does not occur. Has anyone ever experienced this. Every help is welcome. Thanks.

    @Crazy_PTC can you test on TT if it happens there too? Would go a long way in neutering l narrowing down the issue.

    It not happening on F1 2021 could be just a consequence of an intermittent issue. But testing different game modes in F1 22 seems to me the next logical step.

    @mariohomoh How are you my partner? So I always do several laps in the TT to get used to the track and at least for now it hasn't happened once. I did a quick race in Grand Prix mode and it happened on the 1st lap with the Mercedes. But it's some laps, not the whole race. Keyed up...

    I'm in Season 1 (full race distance) of My Team (career) and that gearbox issue, periodically, happens to me too. I go to change from 4th to 3rd, but it drops to 2nd.

    I don't think that this is a game "glitch" (please correct me if I'm wrong). I reckon that as a new Team, with (currently) minimal upgrades, I figure that the gearbox still needs to be upgraded to start behaving itself.

    I'm hoping that with future upgrades, the gearbox will either not, or rarely, do this anymore.

    @Crazy_PTC I forgot that My Team is not the same as Career. I have only played My Team, so I can't comment about why (auto downshifting) happens in general Career mode too.

    Sorry Crazy, ...maybe it is a (Career mode) glitch.
