So, I have news. I rolled my Windows back from 11 to 10, and F1 22 now works great. With overlays and everything.
I have the same issue, i have clocked in about 100 hours in the F1 22 game since release.
I had no issues before the previous weekend but started crashing on me during the weekend.
I have tried everything except reinstalling windows. I even upgraded to Windows 11 and had to buy a new Windows license since my previous Win10 license "dissapeared" after the upgrade.
I thought maybe it was the Nvidia driver update that came, so i uninstalled my drivers with DDU and installed the old Nvidia driver from May, still the same issues.
I wonder where i can send a bill for the time used on troubleshooting this absolute shambles of a game that EA&Codemasters have made together.
It is terrible that game developers take 60€ for a game which is clearly unplayable for many of us, and dont fix them in those updates that comes out.
Reminds me of another game in the EA Franchise that just gets worse with every new version and update that comes with it. And yes im talking about the FIFA games.
The need for spending so much time on fixing a "finished" product really is quite aggravating. As someone who actually does do IT work, I would be charging over $150 for time spent trying to resolve this issue
