When I do Qualifying on grand prix (no career) I cant turn my "overtake" off. "overtake" is always activated, which results in my battery being drained to 50% when I start my fast lap. And its completely drained after that fast lap so I cant do 2 runs.I got no assists and every helping setting is turned off. I want to control my overtake button during qualifying because when I abort a flying lap, I dont want to use my battery so I have some power left in the next lap.Please note this is during a Solo Grand Prix ( No career ).Maybe in career mode its differen?

In qualifying, you can only be in 'hotlap' or 'off' ERS mode, which you change via the MFD. It's the bottom line of the first page when you open it.Just remember to turn it back on again before the last few corners of your outlap!

thanks for your report and letting us know that ERS is not adjustable in the Solo Grand Prix mode.

On which platform are you currently playing on?

Have you tried other modes so far, like career or online races with qualification-sessions, and can you there adjust the ERS?

How is your Grand Prix weekend event looking like in terms of session length?

Hello Rephii,
Im playing on the Xbox Series X and did full Qualifying and a full race, no training.
I didnt start a career mode yet as I am still trying to find the perfect AI difficulty for me before I start a career.
Im sure there are no troubles in career mode with this, otherwise there would have been a lot of complaints I guess.

I will pass that to the team and see if I can spot the issue myself. Have you tried different Session lengths, such as just a short qualifying? Does the issue happen there as well or is it only when you take the full qualifying session length?

I'm on PS4 and have ERS assist turned off at all times. I primarily play MyTeam single player and it's the same. I can control ERS anytime EXCEPT qualy sessions or qualy practice programs. It's been that way for a few years. Was hoping it would get fixed this year. It's again been ignored

could you send me a screenshot of the in game UI where usually the ERS is displayed and what it looks like? Or even better would be a short clip.

I have the same problem in career mode.
I cant change ERS in Qualifying.
I play 50% race and full quali mode

Yes, same here, I don't see any issue on PS5, just "Off" or "Hotlap" in Qualifying. While during a race the "Overtake" button looks working properly.

as the last two comments mentioned, in qualifying you can only change the ERS to Hotlap or off in the MFD overlay. Is that not working?

@Blackhawkb89 Would you mind taking a screenshot or normal picture of how it looks like when you cant change it/it being stuck on overtake? Best with opened MFD showing the option for ERS
