Álvaro Carretón on Twitter: "https://t.co/qqY1H87qe9" / Twitter
I've rewatched his video in the tweet; has he said that because it was on his hard drive or is he really helping Codemasters?
Edit: Just read Opmeer's reply, all good.
There is an easy fix to all this......have a Lan Invitational!
Williams has the facilities as do most of the teams to do this.
Esport teams fly the players anyone who doesn't show up autoban from Esports!
Problem solved!
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m Not sure Williams is the team to do it after the other E-Sports controversy that surrounds them.

The next official eSports should definitely be over LAN but that in itself doesn't solve the wider problem for the much larger number of regular players who want to race online. The wider issue needs an improvement to how the game operates to prevent prevent cheating. On PC anyway.
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 I did say others have the facilities too and I just mention Williams 1st cause they have been advertising their place lately.
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ultrasonic_77 at the beginning of F22 I asked for the option to have JUST consoles to play crossplay together without PC players just for this reason.
Or just put the cheats in the game.
I personally dont think anti cheats will work in the long run as they'll slow em down at the best. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@Ultrasonic_77 Yeah as multiplayer/league racing etc isn’t really my wheelhouse I’d love to hear more feedback from those who do. Be interested to hear more on what . @v8u5jco54ukp as the op has to see he appears to be all over it

Firstly, if everyone knows that cheats are freely available and used then it has a negative effect in terms of more people likely seeing their use as acceptable. EA actively making this harder and importantly being seen to do so would help with this in my view. Secondly, I vaguely wonder if for the online modes the core game physics parameters (like those that determine grip) could all be loaded in from some network file into ram when a lobby is joined rather than relying on a locally stored file that can be modified?

If you go away from leagues the basic multiplayer modes have a more fundamental issue than cheating in that the process of actually getting into races is so hit and miss. Give it a try some time if you genuinely never have. I did actually very quickly see if I could get into a beginner friendly lobby just before I switched my game off last night, but gave up after 2-3 of minutes sitting in a lobby that looked like it was going nowhere fast. I think it was showing loads of players who had just finished a race but I'm not totally sure, and whatever every driver just had a spinning loading icon next to their name but with no sign of progress.
The only online racing I actually do is the weekly events when they're races as these I can at least reliably get into. I do wish they'd keep the weekly event races in sync with the real F1 calendar though. This week there is a weekly event race in Jeddah but is would make so much more sense if this was next weekend instead!
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Ultrasonic_77 I don’t need to… I have you 😍

Well, I do not play online but if you cannot even trust the eSports drivers... Houston we have a problem!
Besides also Time Trial, which is the "skill ranking" of each driver (with all the faults you want), is affected.
Even if my main hopes for improvement are always on the offline (AI, handling), I strongly hope in a working anti-cheat in F1 23 for the whole community credibility.

i stopped watching esports since i noticed it's for kids since the lobby is not full elite. then now let's find out the cheats of 20% ers more grip less wear more speed among other things it really seems that these are born from esports members patch. there is also that most of the children who participate in this competition want to win even in a dishonest way all the rest is bar talk. disappointed in them by codemaster and by the fia which does not extend the license leaving the monopoly.

Hmmm... that's rather patronising and ageist to be honest. Jake Benham is about a third of my age but would utterly thrash me in any race. Being younger does not stop someone being elite*. This is totally unrelated to wanting all competition to be fair.
*Sadly being better than me doesn't qualify someone as elite either but that's down to my lack of talent and practice!
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Ultrasonic_77 Yup I’m Benhams number one fan😁
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Nellix82 With all respect there is an age limit for Esports.
PSGL/WOR are the feeder systems and I think Cameron Dowds is the youngest at 13.
With alot of the top guys not playing in protest to nothing being proved one way or the other the Leagues are just moving up the next tier players to have full grids.
Cant blame them really. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@BadMayh3mI can’t blame them for quitting. 2 drivers now under suspension One alleged driver for being unnaturally fast on every track, and another outs himself by accidently showing the cheat on his computer. But nothing is being done. Something has to be done to solve this.

@ScarDuck14But I'm not sure if there's any proof though 🤔
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@TotosHeadphonesJust watching Jarnos latest my team video. Think he’s talking about the other guy😂😂😂😂 pic below
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@TotosHeadphones That’s why something needs to be done to solve it. I don’t necessarily mean prove they did it just solve the situation or more will do it in the future
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@TotosHeadphones This IS the problem.
Ronhard was winning and setting records a YEAR before all this started.....where were all the accusations then and WHY NOW is my question. - TotosHeadphones3 years agoSeasoned Ace
@ScarDuck14I was being a bit sarcastic ☕🐸
@BadMayh3mThe accusations are there because there are plenty of videos showing driving and speeds which technically shouldn't be possible unless there are certain aids being used. Additionally he hasn't really said anything to defend himself other than there won't be any accusations when they move to LAN. Moving to LAN won't disprove the accusations for this year's game because next year, with it likely being a new handling model, if any accused driver not being as fast as they have been can easily hide behind the excuse of not adapting to the new model.
With there being so many murmurs, eSport drivers being shown having cheats on their hard drives, regardless of whether they really are helping Codemasters or not, it shows that there is a lot that we are not seeing and there are eSports drivers not being truthful. There must be some scepticism when looking at all that we've been presented with.

- Nellix823 years agoRising Ace@Ultrasonic_77 there is a lot of difference when you race for fun and racing for a competition like that I don't know what's funny about cheating. then one thing racing with a ghost so no safetycar no risk of breakage one thing racing with all the risks. very far from the formula 1 Esports made like this for me I hope you get the idea

- Nellix823 years agoRising Ace@Ultrasonic_77 let's talk about cheats, right? so Esports is an untruthful championship
