Has the medium TC been made easier to use then because of Torque and gear ratio amendments?
End of the day these games are best on wheel, we all know that. I've done my time with pc sim racing and wheels so I'm just gonna have to put up with med=low trc.
Think gonna call it a day with pad and this topic lads, I'm not sure cm will tinker this much more for pad users at the detriment for the wheel users... And rightly so
May take a loss and trade it in before trade ins hit rock bottom with this title.

Still impossible to drive without TC, I've always played like that but this year those bugs are ruining the game ☹️

Just takes time and practise to manage no TC but it is possible.

@BauersomeMmm idk. In controller is impossible this year, no vibration, no traction. A little throttle and then you spin. Same settings as last year's game but definitely is not the same

Games gone from fun to drive to completely undriveable for me. Same difficulty and setup as before but now about 2-3 seconds a lap slower than the AI (which was set so I match my teammate) and absolutely zero grip. Add on top the AI's completely overpowered traction (wet race starts are just completely impossible by the way, AI start like it's still dry).
I've had to stop playing because it's just utterly infuriating.

setups will change. pressures you need to run very low now otheriwse you wont have any grip

Didn't tested the new model yet but I can confirm AI laptimes are much better than before (I have simulated some quals), in some tracks 1 second.
If AI is simply "improved" is still ok, I just hope it hasn't "broken" traction in comparison with human player instead... 😕

Completely the same for me. Just tried a grand prix against the AI on Zandvoort and Jeddah and both were just impossible to drive against on my normal level. No grip, no traction and my front tires overheated within 2 or 3 laps... No fun at all. Guess I have to lower the tyre pressures significantly, especially on the front.

Please EA / Bugmaster, stop doing F1 games… You just don't have the competence to do, it's really embarrassing. Let another studio get de license, we fans of F1 are begging to you. You can't even make a proper car sound, model, and update the tracks, we have tracks that have been used for 10 years. Every year is the same bugs, and I don’t have words to describe what I think about you guys, probably I would be banned forever in this forum.

Rightly so? On what planet? The one where a 50,000+ to 1 ratio of pad to wheel users is not considered important enough to worry more about the 50,000 instead of the 1? This would be a catastrophically stupid idea.

I wonder what the actual ratio is. Are there more pad than wheel users for starters...
That said, I agree with your key point that if performance sucks for pad players then it needs fixing.

There are vastly more pad users than there will ever be wheel users, just owing to the cost. If wheels came as standard with a $500 console, or with any graphics card over, say, $600, then there *might* be more wheel users. But as we don't live in la la fantasy land, of course there are more pad users.

well hes got a point. its a racing game. first of all if the wheel isnt the better device than the game is just poorly balanced.
Still, F1 22 is the FIRST game in the series where a wheel is actually the better device since the feedback on the pad has been reduced to pretty much the same what a wheel player feels: NOTHING.
a wheel doesnt have the beautiful vibration tool. FFB is something completey different and only kicks in after something happens.
still tho, i dont think its right for all pad players to cry this much. basically what they are going thru is what every wheel player went thru for like half a year or so before getting used to reacting only to visuals and not the feeling.- 4 years ago

So you don't understand that pads and wheels are different? You also think wheels don't give you information before something happens, and only *after*? Are you playing on one of those Wii-mote things with the "Wheel" adapter? My T500RS sure as hell gives me feedback before things have gone completely sideways, as literally any minimally competent sim racer would tell you. If they didn't, then you'd never "Catch" a spin, or "Feel" the tires start to lose grip.Should a wheel be better? Absolutely. So you can take that silly strawman argument back. I'm saying that wheels should not be the ONLY priority, which given that it's been a month since the game released and we're STILL missing the most basic feature on gamepads is obviously annoying. It is not "Crying" to expect an advertised, pre-existing function to be present and, well, functional. That's called wanting the bare minimum. The vibration function on controllers is as important to pad users, if not more so, than FFB is to wheel users. The vibration function replaces the rotation and torque in a wheel. It's not rocket science, and should be a simple enough concept that a child can grasp it. It isn't an "Advantage" at all. It's literally the exact same idea, but with a different delivery system.
As to what wheel users went though in the past, you're right, that absolutely sucks, and it's about time they pulled their socks up. What I don't agree with is that pad users, who absolutely are the vast majority, somehow deserve, or should not complain about, being in the same position now. Unless you're saying that wheel users should have just shut up all that time, and never "Cried" about it.
Also, EA, can we have a block function on these forums. It's 2022, not 1992, and I'd like to be able to filter certain kinds of people out of my feed, thank you.
