Rightly so? On what planet? The one where a 50,000+ to 1 ratio of pad to wheel users is not considered important enough to worry more about the 50,000 instead of the 1? This would be a catastrophically stupid idea.
I wonder what the actual ratio is. Are there more pad than wheel users for starters...
That said, I agree with your key point that if performance sucks for pad players then it needs fixing.
There are vastly more pad users than there will ever be wheel users, just owing to the cost. If wheels came as standard with a $500 console, or with any graphics card over, say, $600, then there *might* be more wheel users. But as we don't live in la la fantasy land, of course there are more pad users.

I agree there are almost certainly more pad than wheel players but I've never seen any actual data on this, so I was just making the point to be careful about overstating the importance of one or other user interface.
I absolutely agree with your main point that pad performance matters.

Sorry, I came across as way more aggressive than intended there. My point stands, however, and I really would like to see them focus less on what their "Influencers" want, and what the vast majority of the playerbase need. Stable AI, trigger vibrations for pad users, and cars that don't teleport through the track, lol. Oh, and I'd like all the expensive interiors on my supercars put back, too.

It's not just influencers who use wheels. There are HUGE numbers of regular players who do (like me), and there's obviously going to be some correlation between the biggest fans of racing games and having wheels. Obviously far from everyone can afford either the money or space for a wheel but most would want to and so in time many do. I'm only making the point that I think you're massively downplaying the importance of wheel players of the F1 games.

I have now requested a refund of the purchase price through Microsoft (Xbox). I've had enough. I can only recommend it to everyone. This is the only way to put enough pressure on EA

Many do not understand why the AI is so fast at the moment. Basically tyre temperatures are impossible to controll now (on Pad it seems), even on the lowest tyre pressures, they still rise up to 103 on the hardest compound, which should not happen. That´s where all your new understeer comes from. What we also now is, that AI are not affected by tyre temperatures. This has been known and a thing since forever in CM games, therefore no understeer or massive grip loss during cornering for the AI.
They just need to fix the tyre temps for players and we´re good. Straight line speed is normal, most of you players are just running too much wing, aka bad setups.
