well hes got a point. its a racing game. first of all if the wheel isnt the better device than the game is just poorly balanced.
Still, F1 22 is the FIRST game in the series where a wheel is actually the better device since the feedback on the pad has been reduced to pretty much the same what a wheel player feels: NOTHING.
a wheel doesnt have the beautiful vibration tool. FFB is something completey different and only kicks in after something happens.
still tho, i dont think its right for all pad players to cry this much. basically what they are going thru is what every wheel player went thru for like half a year or so before getting used to reacting only to visuals and not the feeling.
My friend I am in a racing league with hundreds of drivers on wheel, with the topmost guys in the top 500s in the TT leaderboards, and I haven't heard any of them say FFB kicks in "after" any incident. Without any response from your input you'd never know if you're going to stay on track or send your car to Narnia. Pad players are heavily dependent on vibrations because we don't receive any feedback from steering unlike wheel players who have FFB/Direct Drive.

pad users should be not hallowed in multiplayer, or at least it should be a filter "whell only".
- Wollcott3 years agoNew Ace@Sir_SSJassassin its actually quite simple. you lose traction on a pad, it starts vibrating. You are about to lock your tires: it starts vibrating. The wheel does both things not. it doesnt tell you when youre about to lose it under traction and it never tells you when youre about to lock up. The feedback you are getting is in the moment where you lose it or after you locked up.
thats the difference and thats the biggest difference to games with proper FFB such as Asetta Corsa.
