This is like a joke... now we have to wait another patch before we can actually make lobbies together. Tyres are coming up to tempature after 2 laps which is half of the race.
- 3 years ago@DavidG53 David can you tell me why I should spend my time for formation lap when even the race is less than 10 min? Beside, it's same for ranked lobbies, what we will do in ranked games?

@MaegnysHe just gave you a reason why. To get the tyre temps up to their optimum working range. Otherwise you'll start the race straight out from the tyre blankets' temperature, which is 70ºC.
If you don't want to bother with the simulation of official sport like this, just fire up your settings for the session and disable the tyre simulation.
What else do you want from the game?If you're doing 5 laps, point and shoot quick races, not even bothering with formation laps, then all this simulation of tyre temps and wear and degradation certainly are not for you. No judgement, this short format it is there because it is fun for some people. But it makes no sense to complain about it when you're not setting the game up properly for it.
You can not have your cake and eat it too.
- 3 years ago@mariohomoh If this was planned, can you tell me how people will race each other in ranked lobbies? I want stable, finished game since I pay a lot of money to this game. Every year it's coming with all these bugs and they are using us as subjects.
We are already making formation laps in league races, this is not the case for 5 lappers since it's just for quick racing.

online is absolute pinball fest now because everybody slides across the track. IN A 5 LAP RACE???!!! come on. - 3 years ago@DavidG53 That would be fine if it was possible to enable formation lap in ranked 5 lap races. But its not. You have forced us to start the race with <70*c tyres. So YES. It is a joke.
- 3 years ago@DavidG53 Sorry, mate, but we are not supposed to be forced to do Formation Laps (broadcasted or not) and if the player chooses to skip FL, then the game should set the tyres to a proper temp as if we had done the FL..

My feedback on the patch 1.07 (I play the Champions Edition through Steam, on a PC):
- Portimao and other upcoming DLC tracks should be available in all modes - Please consider making them available for career modes (regular/MyTeam) as well.
- I understand there are probably some licensing issues, but, if possible, add more tracks from previous Codemasters games to F1 22, like Sepang, Turkey, etc.- Logitech wheels shift lights are still not working (at least not on mine - G29).
- It is not possible anymore to see the lap times of the other players (AIs on MyTeam, for example) after the races - not sure if this is a bug, or if it was on purpose, but either way, this should be fixed.
- Audio Victory Call not working in game or in the menus (by pressing F2 to listen) - all the other game audio works just fine, including my comms with Marc using my mic - already tried a files integrity check and even completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the problem is still there - it was ok right after the release of the game and it stopped working after the very first patch after the release - I believe it was patch 1.03 or 1.04 - maybe even 1.02 - gotta check the dates of the game/patch releases to be sure).
- Loading times in the online lobbies sometimes take too long because of one single player that seems to be stuck (for whatever reason) and holds back the entire lobby along (there should be a way for the game to auto kick a player who can't load after 30 or 60 secs, tops - not cool to have to wait more than 2 or 3 mins for the game to 'move on', or even to be forced to Alt+F4 and restart the game to try and join a different lobby - happens a bit too often)
- AI are still massively OP and still monumentally stupid - I know they were not fixed in this patch, but I hope this comes ASAP, for it's one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) issues in the game right now..
And also to 'remind' that it's not just the AI top speed or acceleration after slow corners that needs to be fixed:
- they have super top speed literally everywhere..
- also super acceleration out of every kinds of corners..
- perfect race starts all of the time..
- it seems their tyres don't degrade as much as the player's (or just don't degrade at all) - they usually get their best and fastest laps (up to 1 or even 2 secs faster than the rest of their stint) on the very last laps of their stint, where although their car is supposed to be lighter in terms of fuel, their tyres are also supposed to be 'dead' in terms of grip (this affects the players, but not the AIs, which is obviously unfair)..
- the AIs keep crashing the player and sometimes act as if the players were not even there - AIs drive as if they were alone on track and literally 'ignore' the player's car and cause dumb crashes..
- the AIs are a LOT faster on the Quali sessions (up to 2 secs faster than during the FP sessions) and the player just can't do the same..
..
So, here's hoping you guys keep working to fix/improve the game and that the fixes are actually good and work as expected.

When I asked if this is a joke you said;
"@Maegnys No is not a joke. you should do a formation lap. Or do a broadcasted formation lap if you don't want to drive it yourself."
You really do not know what multiplayer players expect...
