@DavidG53No, also in GP mode the AI is too fast (at least for difficulties lower than 100, above those it is perfectly fine to have AI behaving as it does now). Much less than in career, sure, especially with personnel upgrades etc. but there are still underlying issues present even in GP mode. You need to be very good at the game to keep straight line speed with AI using same setup, and people using below 100 difficulties will never be able to do so (they can by overall pace, but not in straight line speed).
Btw one of the most detrimental issues on this matter of AI is that decreasing difficulty alters AI acceleration speed out of corners much much less than it does for corner entry. If choice of difficulty actually altered the speed the AI has on corner exit and straight line speed in similar fashion as it does for corner entry then there would be no issues as you just had to lower AI skill till you find the perfect pace to suit yourself. But as it is now it's simply impossible to find a good compromise at lower difficulties because there's so much disparity between the two behaviors.
Oh I’m definitely a lot faster out off corners and rotating cars is massively easier with my team dog. And My lap times as a result are better…. But the ai seem to be faster. A lot faster. Oh the shame I might have to play ai on lower difficulty
@DavidG53 I may be faster but slower but car feels better now. For me that’s Number 1 I have nothing to prove just as longs if I have to lower the difficulty I will find a level where the ai can’t beat me😀
- 3 years ago@ScarDuck14 The ai is the same in 1.06 and 1.07. Not yet tweaked the ai, as we need to be 100% sure we fix it and not put another bug in.
Glad to hear you feel the car better, and from what you wrote, is exactly what I wanted to hear 🙂- 3 years ago@DavidG53 Please let the developer knows that the Career/MyTeam AI balance is mostly likely being broken by their team's Personnel Facility boosts (which are hidden from player's screen but is mostly likely applied to them).
I recommend if finding an actual solution to the system is too complicated at this point of the development cycle, just disable those effects on the AI teams and made it an exclusive thing for the player side. - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
@DavidG53It’s just my eyes. I suffer from insomnia and have slept for a few days. Learning a new game especially one that represents F1 speed when dead tired isn’t ideal. But only other option is to lay in bed thinking about how to better learn the game.
You’ve probably noticed I’m up and down… That’s being old tired and grouchy: then I’ll read a post that’ll have my hypo brain twisting itself up cause I’m to tired to control. All good fun.. I’m never offensive to anyone on the internet except when directing offended. So I’ll post random nonsense. In just thinking or ranting out allowed. But I’m finding turning off triggers on dual sense better. Bizarrely when braking. Last year triggers were banging.
and I can admit when I’ve made a idiot off myself me I forgot and was oblivious to the fact I started Bahrain on hards whilst ai were on mediums. Explains why the ai were faster

There is a reason EA didn't do F1 or Nascar games anymore...because they absolutely suck at them! Its like you got together and said what can we do to really * this game up...okay let's do it!
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@DavidG53 Just finished Jeddah which I once loafed. But it’s a track as you Learn it you start to love it. And was a good track to race after update. And yes car feels really good, although long high gears killed my gearbox cause I kept forgetting to manually shift 567. As I had my hands full with ai wanting to end me. 😂
