@DavidG53 don't waste your time entertaining these type of people.
@6mi0sv8kl49land also sorry to you that you are fine in your ofline world and dont experience the pure betrayal for league racers. for us this game is a serious insult so far.
if you would only play online you would react differently as well. I mean hell look at the e sport guys even they are starting to speak up against the F1 game now. While you care about some 3D modeling that isnt changing anything serious in the game i care about a stable multiplayer so i can have a competitive race, for normal sound and proper wheel support.

@WollcottWhy you "league racers" don't actually adapt by, who knows, using more than 5 laps? What's even the point of racing online with just 5 laps is beyond me. Instead of treating the game as an arcade why don't you try to treat it as an actual racing simulation just for once? You will find no other racing sim around where the online player base (especially in leagues and top splits, where long races are usually the norm instead) does 5 laps races, as it makes absolutely no sense.
- 3 years ago@Amioram what the hell? ofc nobody does 5 laps as league races. you just do 5 laps for fun but thats no fun anymore because 5 lap "races" have turned into 2 laps of pin ball and 3 laps of racing....
league races are 50% of course. but right now we cannot do it because of the sound issues. - 3 years ago@Wollcott So if 5 lap races are done only for fun what's the issue with the temps? Actually it should be even funnier now that people have cold temps. I really don't get why you care so much about such an inessential issue in an actual driving game. Short laps races just for fun can be enjoyable here and there but surely they aren't - and shouldn't be - the primary focus on a simulator.

I don't want to defend Wollcott in any way, but your post regarding the existence of "5 laps races" is subjective and just ignorant. I am a league racer but not all of my friends are and 5 lap races can be a ton of fun. There is also a joy in making a competition with e.g. 5 tracks á 5 laps because it shows who ist the most versatile and adaptive driver. It's a difference if you can practice for a single 50% or 100% race and be good or to be good on random tracks. But this is of course my personal opinion too.
But it's a fact that Codemasters / EA is OFFERING and SELLING 5 Lap Races, so a customer should be allowed to exprect that this mode works as it is supposed to be. And it's legitimate that if you play a game for 1 month and the races start with a normal temperature that you are frustrated when it's different on the next day.
There are far bigger problems than the "5 laps/temperature"-issue, but it surely adds to the frustration regarding online (ranked) lobbies.Edit: @Amioram I wanted to add that you are of course right that this mode is probably mostly used by "casual" or "arcade" players. But because of this it makes even less sense to make the game harder for these people. Starting with 70°C is just harder for everyone.
- 3 years ago@Amioram I can answer that with a definitively "no issue". The tyres should warm up naturally as the race progresses anyway so I don't see how this is such a big deal, there's other stuff to sort out first. I personally don't use 5 lap race option, I can't use the SC nor do I have much enjoyment from such a short race, I like some strategy and pitstops involved, perhaps the weather could change mid race, oh by the way @DavidG53 if the AI can be adjusted in the wet as well, to where we can race with them (though I personally never tried it) that would be a great remedy. We appreciate your dedication to help with issues
- Nellix823 years agoNew Ace@Wollcott I don't think you can expect the game to do everything in our place. You want the non-real tempers you don't want to do the training laps you don't want the most real traction so you don't want the most difficult traction you don't want to break the wing you don't want different setup is difficult. You want the console game for the children of 10 years? There are obvious mistakes but also so many good things. Is online okay except for audio, does no one say that?
- 3 years ago@Nellix82 No online has desync, bugged FL, only host having warm tires.
I dont have an issue with the 70° tires at the start it just doesnt make sense that you have FL on and at the end they go back to 70° apart of the host who has warm tires.
I only said its not ideal to have this also in a 5 lap. since a 5 lap is there for pure racing from the start.
And overall its not okay how this is handled by EA. Look back to release when everybody couldnt play champions edition on steam. when PC players suddenly found out they cannot play together with Origin and Steam..
its not okay nowadays to release unfinished games and just patch the hell out of them. you can clearly see that patches actually rather have a negative effect on the game. New bugs, new glitches. Cannot be this way.
