@SenseiBacon7It's way better now IMO. I'm on a wheel with zero assists and I find it works fine. To me it was barely even a noticeable change between 1.06 and 1.07
Agree. Not much difference between the last and 1.07 for me.
PC using a wheel and feels slightly better, AI too.... Only slightly.,,
Am sure after another update it will change and we'll just have to adjust.
They really need to game the game running stable and optimised for everyone
I'm on Xbox, with pad.
TC medium, undrivable!
Spin in 5° gear 🤦🏻♂️
1.05, 1.06, 1.07 same.
Last year game was perfect!
Please don't tell me it's just practice, I play only online, in every session, lot of people spinning without any contact.
I must play with TC full, results? 1/2 seconds slower but at least no spin.

Your issues may relate to tyre temperatures. Check them out to see what's going on...
- 3 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 around 90 degrees, so it's not tyre temperature.
Maybe I'm exaggerated to say it's undrivable, but it's very hard to drive and I'm afraid when I go on gas.- Ultrasonic_773 years agoHero

Maybe I'm exaggerated to say it's undrivable, but it's very hard to drive and I'm afraid when I go on gas.I thought online races were starting with 70 degree tyre temps and this was likely contributing to the spinning you were seeing?
- 3 years ago@PlayDj I'm sorry, but it likely is just a practice thing. When I started transitioning away from TC to no TC it wasn't easy. You have to rewire your brain not to just mash on the throttle all the time.
I'm on XBOX and before I got a wheel I drove with a pad with no TC and it was fine. Yes, I occasionally spun, but that wasn't the games fault. If you want something realistic, accept that occasionally you'll spin.
I think a lot of people who play this game *think* they want realism when what they really wan't is a game that's more arcade in nature but lets them *believe* it's actually realistic. (i.e. I want to drive with zero assists but never spin and always finish in first place in every race in all conditions)- Apophis-STR3 years agoSeasoned Ace@KVNR01 Realistic or not, the learning curve is very steep in this series, and the fact that there are so many little things to manage during races compare to most of the racing games in the market, which I believe lots of new comers didn't really realized.
- 3 years ago@Apophis-STR
It doesn't have to be. You can literally set everything to auto. With full braking assist and full traction control you can basically just keep the throttle trigger mashed at 100% and the game will do everything else for you except steer the car.
- 3 years ago@KVNR01 Ok I will train to be faster and not to spin.
But, why last year game, handling car was perfect and now it's not?
I'm on Xbox too, pad, and I used TC medium.
In my opinion, in F1 22, throttle management is not accurate.
Proof of this is patch, they changed handling.
But still not so good.- 3 years ago@PlayDj
There's no such thing as a "perfect race sim/game". Your definition of "Perfect" may be different than mine which may be different than the next person's.
In the last game over body areo wasn't really modeled. In this year's game they updated the physics model to include over body areo and under-body areo as two different calculations.
Last years game, tire pressures basically did nothing, in this years game they are modeled into the physics.
Last years game was "perfect" if your definition of that means "not spinning with medium TC"
This year's game attempts to simulate more real world effects. For many people, anything that better simulates reality is more "perfect".
The devs of any sim game openly admit that no race sim *perfectly* simulates reality. But this years game attempts to get closer. Yeah, they released patches including changes to gear ratios and throttle curves. That doesn't mean last years game was perfect, it just means the devs are trying to get incrementally closer.
Everyone who plays any of these games need to be honest with themselves. Do you want a game that's (closer to) realistic but hard; or a game that tells you it's realistic even though it isn't, but is easy?
If it's the latter, then just run with more assists and turn down the AI and just have fun with it. Why is running with MD TC important to you? Why not just turn it to Full?
