Before the AI was unbeatable in Imola, Maimi, Spain, then it worked again and I won races.
now it's just a disaster and takes all the fun out of me.
It also doesn't help if I reduce the AI, I've set it from 90 to 68, how much further?
At F1 21 I had set the AI to 92.
In addition, I'm puzzled as to why I have to carry additional fuel for 7-9 laps.
In F1 21 you had max plus 1.5 laps in the tank
tire temperature a catastrophe, i didn't have any problems before but now they overheat.so please do not buy, currently only SCRAP
Tbh, you can't compare F1 2021 and F1 22. If they changed the dynamics and car physics behind the scene, you can't expect it will behave same.
I also had to reduce AI from 85 to around 60, to get a chance to even being on level with my team mate in DC or MT. However, after few races I am able to slowly increase it back towards 80 and still keep up. So it might be your driving style doesn't suit their changed car physics and you end up "being Ricciardo" in your DC or MT.
I also play around with car settings and although surface tyre temp is really hard to manage, I still get good races with satisfying results. But it also might be something that real teams have issues with, you can see many real life drivers complaining about not being able to switch on tyres or overheating them.
I also start with +1.5 laps of fuel, usually, and unless I want to make through the field quickly, I end up race with still 0.9laps in a tank. It could be reason why I struggle with tyres, extra weight could cause tyres to lean on track surface and increase their temp. But who knows, I can see the game's code so only way to find out is to experience it there.
I flagged few issues which the latest patches hasn't fixed yet but my main problem isn't the bugs (it's true, they make the game less enjoyable), it's lack of acknowledgement of them. I work in SW company, I know how it goes with fixing bugs for cutomers. And I appreciate devs like David taking time and reply to us. They have actual knowledge, can explain things and give background info to us or make sure issues get put on their dev boards. Otherwise, we would only get CMs with their PR language which may not as helpful.

@DavidG53This is the attitude the team has? No wonder you turned a great game into a rolling lump of *If I were a dev like David and was doing this on my own time and free will, with no obligation to customers or my employer, I would have the same attitude.
Devs like him can decide to give up on us and go back to coding based on what they're provided with by their managers. And we would get only CM, their legally correct PR statements which might be not helpful at all.
At least devs can explain to us why things happen in game and we can give them feedback about what should change to make game more enjoyable for us.
And devs can also speed up bug fixing process as they can decide what more important, not someone whose job is only to reply "it's being worked on and will be fixed in future updates".
I understand the frustration, I am also a customer who isn't fully satisfied with the product, but we also must see beyond our anger and give them chance and time to fix things.
@NoManuelAutoonlyThey expressly said numerous times that they are working on fixing the AI. What more can they do on the matter than working on fixing the issue? Do you expect these things to be magically fixed immediately just because you want them and want them now? I'm sorry but that's not how reality works and especially in game development things that may seem easy to fix from someone that doesn't know the context can be in reality very difficult to adjust properly.
I understand the frustration of users, because I'm one too and I have issues with the game myself (especially for what it concerns the VR implementation - to make a single example how the camera works, shaking all the screen instead of the cockpit as it's usually done) but this doesn't give me the freedom to be a narcissistic individual that thinks that the world revolves around him and expecting changes to be done at his personal whim and pace.
There are instances where it is appropriate and even necessary to make a scene about, and others where you just look like a fool doing so. If they did brush the problem of the AI under the rug then you will have a point on posting dozens of angry comments on the matter, but they said numerous times they are working on it (and David even clearly stated that they are aware that it's a game breaking bug and they will fix it). What more do you expect from them given the context? Fixes to a game don't magically fall from the sky.
I just ask you and others that are not satisfied with the product right now to at least be reasonable on the topics you put your anger towards.Well well well, here we are again.
As usual the game release was fine and with each patch we're getting back old bugs that were already fixed in the past or even new bugs without any relation to the patch notes.
To list just two that were patched back into the game now with 1.07:
- Tyre temps after formation lap reset to 70, temps are only saved for the host. (actually a new bug)
- Quali-Timer resets for someone rejoining the session, giving him an advantage to drive while others can't (Same as last year, was also patched into the 21 game..)
Man please beta-test your goddamn patches, it's literally the same ... every year and we keep asking for QA on patches.
If you don't feel like testing patches on your own before releasing them, just ask us players.
We all know we're paying for an unfinished game every year anyway so there will be plenty of players who are willing to betatest these patches, just to assure you don't break the unfinished game more and more with each patch.
Sorry to sound angry here, but I am since history repeats itself every year and I can't cope anymore.
By the way I'm not even mentioning any of the non-gamebreaking issues since you need to focus on a stable game.

They received the full purchase price and we are not the testers of this game.

You're preaching to choir, mate, I bought Champions Edition. However, as @Amioram said, fixed will not fall from blue sky.
And I also wrote that I understand you guys, I am not fully satisfied customer either. But maybe this will force EA/Codemasters to test next releases and patches more rigorously (I am an optimist). Also, all these issues could have been caused by Marketing who didn't want to wait for stable release, or Project Management that didn't allocate enough resources for beta testing. And I guess CMs will not tell us which scenario actually happened. I just hope they learned their lessons and things will get better.
Additionally to my DeSync Clips, here is another Clip which shows us bugs maybe related on DeSyncs in Pitwall @pawel567
- ajobling19833 years agoRising Ace@The_NoSebo I have the same thrustmaster base and dont have any problems. As you are not a beginner, i take it all your drivers/firmware are upto date?
Handling of car now feels much sluggish and gears broken.
EA!! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? The traction is COMPLETELY GONE NOW. Its even worse than the original update. I have wheelspin in fifth gear again. NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS. GO BACK TO 1.06 TRACTION AND THROTTLE PEDALS. THAT WAS REALISTIC. FIX YOUR GAME EA. WE ARE ALL SO SICK OF THIS. LISTEN TO YOUR COMMUNITY AND FIX YOUR GAME. GO BACK TO 1.06.
