Don’t get it. Why it is so difficult to adjust the AI Level. Ok it might be different from 2021 but why there is a need to drive at the same level? And why this patch was so highly requested? It’s only a „random“ number.

@ArkaniaDanteYesterday I did a race in MyTeam at season 2 Silverstone with 85AI (I decreased it according to my practice result compare with AI lap time), and it was absolutely perfect for me.
It was one of the best race I've had since patch v1.06 where my pace was matching the rivals closest to me without me having to break my fingers while I still able to manage my tires and such. There was absolutely no straight line speed advantage from the AI with my downforce set up to about 4 points lower than the preset, I could most likely up it by 2 and still able to overtake them in Hanger straight, my car is dead-midfield.
Try to use free practice to see what the AI lap times are compare with you on the same tire setup, then adjust your difficulty accordingly. I haven't actually record the numbers, but seems like lower the difficulty by 5 points will slow the AI by about 0.5 sec per lap (on all sessions). The thing is, if you felt lowering the AI difficulty made them too slow mid-corners, that means you'll have more leeway to lower your downforce setup to deal with the AI on the straight while you're now also matching the AI in the corners, it's a balancing act that we could do without relying on CM's slow respond.
Will try the same track again tonight (I have a copy of the save) with the current v1.08 build.
