EA SPORTS FC™ TeamOn the straight line it works now on ps5. Just did a carreer race. Went from my 80 AI to 83. I could attack on the straight,hold them behind me. Worked well. It was Abu Dhabi so 2 nice straights for testing in a 50% race.

Hey mate,on GP mode normally i can increase AI by 5 more even,so this would be then on 88. I have no time now anymore for testing but myDriver carreer Mode gave me confidence for next season as i had abu Dhabi now. Maybe someone else is checking GP mode.
I have done some races and it seems to be improved but not gone completely. The AI is still a bit faster on a straight line for some reason.

Are you using auto or manual gearbox? I haven’t tested yet but expect auto to still be slower due to the bug severe we hit the limiter on the straight.
Is the difficulty used in grand prix mode not the same as in career mode? I test difficulty in grand prix mode, play Ocon, quick qualifying, testing difficulty until I'm at most two tenths faster or slower than Alonso. An example in Bahrain 88, in career mode would it have to decrease?
@PBR3491The issue has always been their traction out of corners. Their max speed at the end of the straight wasn't/isn't the issue.
It's that they're able to get on throttle way earlier and get perfect traction out of the corners. That allows them to reach their top speed sooner and carry that top speed further down the straight.
When you lower the AI level, they're just slower during corner entry and mid corner, but still fast out of the corner. Ironically, drivers IRL do this on purpose to make it difficult to be passed.
Unless they addressed this, people are going to experience the same frustrations, just 5 AI points higher.
