Bit hard when the AI on 100% are 3 seconds faster than the real cars - the tracks are super realistic
my time would have put me P1 on Q1 and 3 in Q2
instead I'm 2.7 seconds away dead last - there is an issue !

Just lower the AI, you’ll have more fun.
agree that the pace doesn’t match real life, but its the same every year.

@Juju_59320 wrote:So if I understand well, if I'm on 85 AI difficulty on 1.07 I need to decrease at 80 on 1.08 .... This is very strange, because if the patch make AI slower on the straight it is not logic to decrease the difficulty level ????
The Patch notes were a little confusing. It says something along the lines of the difficulty of the AI decreases by 5 points. But that means they get 5 points worse, so you need to increase by 5 points.
I see a lot of discussion on the AI straight line speed. I've only had a very small sample size of laps on 1.08, but I think it's worlds different than pre-patch specific to how fast the AI used to come out of slow corners, and I did not see that at all in the few laps I ran on 1.08. Agree, although there is more in it than that
brakes entry mid and exit traction are all wrong
if I lower ai for Bahrain then all good - then that same ai for Saudi I will be 1 second faster !
things need improvement.
it seems from this thread this has been an issue in every f1 game for years
Shouldn’t be that hard to fix - surely the millions they make from the game could go to a dedicated team to sort this stuff out !

There may be issues but what is the specific issue here? I guess I don't see it.
Just lower the AI Difficulty to suit your pace.

@PJ-THE_bot-IIDon't ever use real lap times to do comparison here.
First, most tracks are not laser scanned.
Second, the Career/MyTeam cars get upgraded and it'll instantly reflect on the lap times, unlike real life where sometimes the "upgrade" doesn't really do the job or may be even an actual downgrade.
Third, AI speed is determined by scaling from their difficulty setting. They'll almost certain to get faster than real life at some point since CM increases the AI difficulty ceiling for every installment. 1 click on the setting is worth about 0.1sec, and in Career/MyTeam modes the AI receive more boost from their Personnel Facility, lower it by about 5 in first season compare to what you felt comfortable in GP mode would be a good starting point.
Forth, try to find the right difficulty setting with FP. If you're almost 3 sec off the pace, then the current setting definitely doesn't suits you. This series is difficult, like for real. Some guys just can't accept that they need to decrease the AI difficulty. I really don't know why. Nobody is watching. It won't be a shame.
For those guys, maybe the best patch from devs would have 1 item only to solve.
CurrentDifficultyNr += 50
Just raise the number (purely cosmetical) and they will feel more brave.
Oh, Now I'm racing on 493 AI difficulty... And still being overlaped
Yep that’s the easy get out of jail fix for ea games
when looking for a more realistic experience- issues arise
and when you get better at the game - even more issues arise that can’t be solved by just uping and downing an ai setting
the game is very realistic in many aspects - then the detail lacks when you start to improve
- @PJ-THE_bot-II But is summary what do you need? That is to say that you are looking for it to be a game very close to reality?
Well said
F1 is in it’s golden era - it would be great to have a game that went hand in hand with what’s happening on track
right now - there is a lot of improvement that could be done for the serious racer and then for the rest who want to have a good game experience, sure lower the ai
but it seems the “engine” needs a load of work that this behemoth of a company just don’t want to put resources into
such a shame - maybe f1 need to get more involved - they are really focussing on the experience of the spectators at real events - they should be showcasing off the track and in peoples living rooms with the game as well !
I suspect once a monopoly gets hold of the licence then it stops competition - no real need to improve then is there 🙂
time will tell I suppose
