F1® 22 - Patch 1.09 Discussion Thread

Hi! Since the release of patch 1.09, I have encountered this problem with the texture of the wings above the wheels of the ferrari f1-75, I hope you can solve this problem, because without it, the car is spectacular.

Why do I get a .500 sec time penalty for trying to improve my weekly online event qualifying time.  That makes no sense at all.

I think it's worked this way for years? I don't think it's anything to do with the 1.09 patch.

Somebody who gets a top time on their first attempt has done better than someone who needs multiple goes to achieve the same. The former therefor gets more points than the latter. Perhaps your objection is that this is done via the mechanic of a time penalty? There is also a logic of the matchmaking putting drivers in lobbies with others of a similar standard, and again, someone who is faster on a single attempt has done better and the time penalty approach recognises this.

Yes, I do play with TC. Without it I can barely make a corner.

Also what do you mean drag and weight reducing? I've seen your other comment about that. You mean changing wings to very low and fuel to lower too? I'd really like to know

For my team the gearbox is still broken it won’t up shift and the car will spin out. If you leave the garage by drive out you can’t get out of first gear and if you do a flying lap your stuck in 6th gear.

@Leemidds @klimekk1  The key to better acceleration and faster speeds  are weight reduction and drag reduction R&D upgrades.   And I don’t just mean one or two.  Research and upgrade as many as you can as your main priority.  You want to upgrade at least 4 out the 6 drag upgrades  and 5 or even 6 weight reduction upgrades.   

The my team car you start with is super heavy and about as aerodynamic as a house.  Once you start reducing weight you will accelerate faster stop faster and corner and ride  kerbs better.  Reducing drag will make you slippery through the air which will air acceleration and greatly improve top speed

@klimekk1Because the TC has a big problem on F1 22, compare the exit from slow corners with TC of F1 21 and F1 22 you will see that the TC of F1 22 has a big problem. 

PS: I play in pilot career not in myteam.
