@ScarDuck14
You're right in doing that.. it seems although the patch was actually a pretty good one, it also brought some problems (what a surprise, am I right?), so..
As for me, I'll keep trying to play during the next few days and see if I can find more issues to report, so hopefully they can be all fixed on the next patch!
Take care, mate - cya!
EA adding a patch that breaks something else or the added features don't work properly? Huh. Would have never guessed. 🤷♂️
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@antti_syrj605 I have always loved Codemasters games. Ever since TOCA 30ish years ago. But when the ability to patch games became available. I very quickly began dreading getting a cm patch.

Ok, just to inform/confirm that now I reached my 3rd race in the season (in my case, it's China) and I still do NOT have the option to pick a different Tyre Allocation - I only had it in Bahrain (1st race of the season) and I picked the HARDER Tyre Allocation option and then I was 'stuck' with it in Australia and then again now in China. Conclusions:
- You can only choose between different tyre allocations at the first race of the season.
- You get stuck with whichever option you chose for the rest of the entire season.
- Don't know if this was made by accident or design.
Either way, the way it is right now makes it pretty much pointless if we can't choose different tyre allocations for each race and it also ruins an entire season if you make a 'bad' decision for that first race - hopefully we can get a fix for this in the next patch..

@Adt19492022 I suspect this is what’s happened to you? @SexyBrigadeiro luckily I picked balanced for Bahrain. Can confirm I was not able to change tyre allocation for Saudi or Australia (my current race weekend).

I didn't pick a tyre allocation when starting my new team season since the patch was released. Balanced tyre allocation in Bahrain (my race 1) was default. Race 2 (Saudi), I think it was stuck to balanced as well. Race 3 (Australia) I assumed it would be stuck to balanced, but cannot select a S tyre for the race, leading me to believe Harder tyre allocation is locked in for Australia…

But only cause I figure best chance off keep bugs to a minimum is to completely reinstall it and start fresh. That fresh I’m going to install it on a new SSD when Amazon eventually gets here. I live 3 miles from Amazon distribution megahouse ans still they don’t deliver to me until late afternoon. I blame EA😂
I live close to everything. What happens when you live a few miles from M25 jct 30/31

My MyTeam career save is an 'old' save - it's actually from the very first day, when the Champions Edition was released on PC - I guess it was on june 28th, right?
I'm saying this, because we already know that SOME of the patches and new things that were introduced to the game after its release do NOT work properly on the 'old' saves (saves that were created before those specific patches) and then things will only work properly for fresh new saves (created after each patch), so..
I don't know (yet) if the tyres allocation 'problem' is happening to me (and to other people) because our saves already existed before the last patch (1.15) and then MAYBE the saves created AFTER this patch would give the players the option to pick different tyre allocations for each race - can somebody confirm that by creating a new career save?
(I honestly don't have the time to do it right now - sorry)
BUT..
IF this is what's happening, I really hope that the devs do their best to ensure the players don't need to begin a fresh new career after each patch, just so things can work properly.. - patches are supposed to fix things and make them work properly, without forcing everyone to restart everything, right?
As I said before.. my career save dates back to the very first day of launch and I'm still only halfway through the entire 10 seasons career - I'm sorry, but I (still) have a life, work, etc and can't play this game all day, every day - so IF I had to restart a new career for every new patch, I would be playing season 1 only, over and over again and that obviously sucks..
Anyway.. I hope the new patches don't screw up the old(er) saves and that they can work just fine - and if the tyres allocation problem we're having right now is just a glitch, I hope it gets fixed ASAP as well..

Thanks for this, @SexyBrigadeiro, this is with the dev team - I'll let you know if there are any questions!
To all those who are getting the DSQs, do you continue experiencing them after the first one you have?

@SexyBrigadeiro i have just started a new season. Can see that I could select tyre allocation in Rcae weekend 1. Will report back shortly if locked for race weekend 2 👍🏽
- 3 years ago@Monzstar83 You're likely to discover that it's locked out for the 2022 F1 regulations which was why I added my own report on it, but I haven't had the DSQ bug they introduced though, hopefully I don't get that bug

Hi all,
I started a new save after the patch 1.15 and after 3 100% races I haven't experienced this DSQ'd issue.
On the other hand I noticed that:
1. as @SexyBrigadeiro and many other have said, once you pick a tyre allocation you're locked in it. In my case, the softer one.
2. the practice programs available were the same for the 3 races so far: race practice, fuel consumption and tyre management.
Cheers,
Dan
- SexyBrigadeiro3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Monzstar83 Cool, mate and yes, please do it when you can - cheers!
- SexyBrigadeiro3 years agoSeasoned Ace@dancrodrigues Thanks, Dan! So at least now we know for sure that the tyres allocation can be selected ONLY on the 1st race of the season and also that we get locked with our choice for the rest of the season - I honestly think this needs to be changed/fixed and we should be able to select our tyres allocation for each race of the season..

Ok deleted all traces off game. Rebuilt database. Installed new SSD. Downloaded and reinstalled game to new SSD. Started game in Performance mode. Once I played around and set everything up. Started new my team career. Raced first 3 races at 50% on The bounce. Happy to say Everything ran like a dream.
Except Tyre selection being locked after Bahrain. Tried everything to see if I could unlock it. Through Tyre selection in the vehicle. Everyday leading up to next race. And on the proceed to weekend and before FP1. Also restartiing the game. Tried every combination off race length and qualifying options. But had no joy. Even tried changing the tyre options in settings but that did nothing.
So I’m pretty much sure it’s locked after first race.
But my teamers and career guys…. Need your help testing something. Telemetry guys you’ll love it. I will be posting a new thread shortly explaining all
- SexyBrigadeiro3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 @jenny_a_m
So, this is the best confirmation that the tyres allocation is currently only working for Bahrain (or whatever is the players's first race of the season) and then whatever option (softer, balanced or harder) we choose gets locked and we're forced to use it throughout the rest (all of the remaining races) of the season.
I hope this was not on purpose (but even if it was) and that it can be fixed ASAP on the next patch - cheers! - P4st3l1ak3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I never lived on south bank of river 😉 but I worked there couple of times, close to London Bridge 🙂 but I can't even see the river, now, stuck behind Ali Pali 😉

@Monzstar83Your only half bad then. Best mate moved down to Kent. He did say once. When he’s out in his garden having a vape late at night he notices how very quiet it is. Compared living in Essex. Where screaming arguing fighting plastic gangsters were the norm😂
Ack in the days I was earning well and no Women and no kids and no maintenance payments. I lived right on the Thames in what is called a duplex penthouse. Just a huge two floored flat. If I looked left QE2 bridge was no further than 2 miles. I’m not showing off Cause traffic noise was 24/7 and I can only imagine how bad the air quality was. Probably took 20 years from me 🙄😂
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@SexyBrigadeiro It’s Gone 4pm on a Friday…. Almost finishing time.. If they haven’t finished for the weekend already Was hoping for a Hotfix today. As I was going to out some serious hours in over the weekend. 😭
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@Monzstar83 ESSEX obviously 🙄😝
