@fmariani You can’t change the allocation until you start a new season.
Also it’s currently broken and we are waiting for another patch to fix it.
At the start off the new season you will be able to pick the tyre allocation for Bahrain from softer/medium(default)/harder. However once you make your choice you can’t change it for the following races. So if you pick harder. Until the patch you will be stuck with the harder selection for every race. Also when picking your tyre allocation do not pick softer as we think that allocation is also bugged and waiting to be fix…. 🤷♂️

@ScarDuck14 About that part with the softer tire allocation: I have seen people surviving a sprint weekend without getting DSQd, like Dave Gaming for example, but he also runs one-shot qualifying in his races. Has anyone replicated this with the harder tire allocation in sprint weekends not triggering the DSQ? I'd love to try myself, but I work late shifts at work, so no real time unless it's just to actually do something with my careers (I'm currently in COTA in my careers).
- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@bundesautobahn7 I’ve used both balanced and harder and not come across any problems. It’s only a theory about the softer allocation but as I don’t use softs during a race anyway I Havnt used that allocation so I can’t be sure. It’s only because I’ve seen posts that mention they were on softs when they got DSQ.
But doing one shot qualifying could also be the reason why there’s no problems as your obviously only using one set off soft tyres. And maybe one shot would be a viable workaround to use during sprint weekends until theres a new patch.- 3 years ago@ScarDuck14 That was my thought. And besides, full qualifying and short qualifying are getting long in the tooth for me, especially when there's traffic. So if I remember, I may switch to one-shot from Mexico on and when I get to Brazil, we'll see. My strat is mediums-softs, I prefer to run the fastest compounds in the second stint, but I may have to switch to hards-mediums for precaution in Brazil. We'll see. I also only run 25% races max in F1, but that is irrelevant for the DSQ.

Actually 25% races may also be a reason off the Dsq as you use softs. I do 50% races so hard/mediums is my go to.
I’m not sure how the Dsq comes about. But I’m sure it’s something to do with. Soft tyres
