In VR, since update 1.15 DLSS has been unusable (distortions and slow FPS). I was very much hoping the new support for FSR 2.0 would provide real improvement to VR use however this is also very distorted with lots of ghost outlines of things on screen. If it makes any difference, I am using an Oculus Quest 2, with a RTX 3090 and i9 CPU.

I've reported the same since patch 1.15 (both in various threads here and in the bug/technical issues threads) but for now nothing has been done about it. DLSS is completely unusable in VR while before it worked well, and now they introduced FSR 2.0 but even that is completely broken in VR (however a workaround is to use OpenXR and enable FSR there if you want; still DLSS is much better than FSR for VR so it's a real bummer that the latter doesn't work anymore). So funny (not). Btw the sharpening filter in DLSS has never worked in VR, since the beginning (a very useful feature to have).
