The final updates for 2020 and 2021 were in April and we already know there is going to be one this month with the 2023 Alfa Romeo car.
An official post referring to a future patch here FWIW:

I haven’t raced much since the new patch but did two back to back. Both were wet dry races, and I use full assists but steering. In both races the AI was faster in the wet than in the dry. The swing being roughly 5 tenths of a second.
Given my car is basically computer driven, there should be no difference in my performance relative to the AI over the long run.
So, AI needs tweaking still, or let us change AI mid race to compensate.

@AEF251It’s because of Full TC. And how you apply power. Full TC doesn’t allow for any wheel slip so way to much power is stop going to the rear wheels. You have to be super gentle on the throttle. Which the Ai is and therefore why they are quicker
Very doubtful this will be fixed on this game. But I have raised this with @DavidG53 although not strictly his area I believe he has worked with the controller/wheel/assist team to make this better for F1 23
tip normally in wet conditions you would set up car so you had more rear stability. More rear downforce etc. if you using full tc. And with the excessive understeer added to the car. Adding more downforce to the front should help as it will stop car being so willing to understeer which in turn won’t cause TC to interfere so much
