@ScarDuck14 I know, we discussed similar issues in other threads. But they seem more obvious after this patch.Game also seems to hinder car development when you have selected "automated R&D". It seems storing RD points instead of spending them on upgrades. And if it does spend, then mainly on major ones which tend to fail anyway.

Dear EA/Codemasters Dev Team,While I understand the team may be hard at work. with the product, the level of incompetence shown in this year's game cycle is staggering. The amount of bugs present in this game, and the apparent disregard for wanting to fix them not only in terms of crossplay but in regular online modes is appalling. From crashes to desync to tire temps, the level of unprofessionalism makes me very worried about the future of this game. When the only positive part of the game is independent league racing, there is a massive problem. While I understand that F1 life is a good project for the creative team who may be underutilized, please invest more in the actual development of the product and fixing bugs, instead of allowing us to play more in-depth dress-up. These issues will likely kill the small community that remains if they are not addressed, so I hope you take this comment seriously, instead of ignoring the community's problems with your product as EA has done with numerous other products. The Alfa Romeo C43 is the result of a one-time marketing partnership between Alfa and EA. It is not just the new livery slapped on the C42 (2022 car), it's the new car's 3D model + livery. And the new steering wheel the team is running this year, we have Bottas to thanks for that 💟It is definitely not the true C43 performance and most definitely not F1 23 new handling model. Those with the game may look into it and perhaps confirm some changes to performance parameters like drag or power, but I wouldn't bet anything on that.It is not a preview of the F1 23 game though. It's a marketing campaign on the same vein we've seen before with Red Bull, Ferrari, Audi etc., with the addition of the 3D model.

No solution offered, just ranting to vent frustration a little 😉

Yes, each patch seems to introduce new issues which suggests inconsistent testing. I guess all coders' efforts are now focused on next version so we should be happy to get any support at all for this one.
(although next version release date is still 4-6 months away)

Accepting and unaccepting solutions is one of the powers EA gives us😁 However changing xp we can’t. So your stuck with them👍

@mariohomohThanks for the lengthy response. But it would have been nifty if they could add to the performance of the in-game C43 after pre testing wrapped up or after each race until the game is released. In any event, having a new car in time trial mode until the new game is released allows gamers to keep up with competitive time trial mode and real time qualifying events - a nice bridge to F1 2023 imo!

@mariohomohActually flash screens in the game seem to prove you wrong, where one flash screen said “The Alpha Romeo F1 Team 2023 C43 car is here” and the next “ Updates from the factory are in” - the latter indicates that EA Sports do have the ability to update the cars performance from factory data without recompiling a new build! Nice Codemasters, nice indeed! They should continue with these performance updates until the new game is released, adding play value to the old game.

@Trendyon That's just flavor text, mate. Reasons being the ones we've discussed before.
We could also hammer in a "Updates from the factory are in" whenever Jenny posts a new patch notes thread. Points in vibe and atmosphere, zero consequences.

New 3D model, new livery. Some guys on the art department got the task, shipped to the support team and they packed it up on a nice patch for F1 22.
This is literally the busiest stage in the pipeline for the performance team as they need to crunch data so that the handling guys can revise the new handling model and the AI team can carry on with the AI training. It is unrealistic to expect the performance guys to double their work for one car on the soon to be deprecated game. Again, this is NOT just changing a "EnginePowerGP2 = 960" to "EnginePowerGP1_new = 970" and be done with it specially when you've got a game with new parameters for physics and performance being worked on with all hands on deck.

Alfa paid for a marketing stunt, the art team put it together, and that's it.

@ScarDuck14 Yes, 1 July 2022. I had preordered via Steam for early access, but we had those Steam issues that took a few hours to resolve. It made me get EA Play Pro but no regrets.

I believe Marcel Kiefer said something that the release is always on the week of the British GP. Which was from 1-3 July last year. F1 2021 dropped two days before the race of the 2021 British GP, on 16 July 2021. This year's British GP is on the weekend of 7-9 July. Wink wink, nudge nudge?
