Are you sure?
There is a note on origin website.
A note to our Origin players: We’re excited to bring F1® 22 to Origin for the first time. At launch, players on Origin will be able to compete with EA Play members and trial players. Cross-play for Origin players will be added post-launch so you can play with your friends across all platforms.
Hey everyone,
Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

Nice thank you for the answer

RIP anyone who plays in a league and bought the game via the wrong platform. What a joke
- 3 years ago
This absolutely tombstone my league. I have four divisions with about 80 to 90 active drivers. It fragmented my entire community. They’re about 30 people who bought it on origin and now my league is pretty much cooked

Hi, if youre planning to run the league with separated platforms, could you please invite me? My discord is: andrew-2k#5419
All leagues that im in rn are completely butchered and I have no one to play with since im on EA, so I'd like to join, thanks!

ATLEAST TELL US BEFORE WE BUY YOUR (arcade) game

That's me; I just got off of customer support and they will not refund me so I can play it with my league on Steam. First race of the season starts in 15 minutes.
Customer service offered me no option to remedy the situation outside of buying the game twice.
I will never spend another penny with EA. What an awful experience

"happy launch day"
How ironic

I havent bought it yet.. but when i do i will be buying it on STEAM put a bit of money in a proper company that does things right.

What a joke, we have a league and now our players are scattered across steam and eaplay/origin. No we will either have to switch back to 2021 or buy the game again. Please just release the game when these sort of basic features are implemented. Or at the very least clearly communicate these sort of things way in advance.

I'm sorry but are you kidding right now? Are you honestly kidding? How can you guys be so ridiculous? Do you actually realize what you have just done with the community of this game? You absolutely killed it. You literally killed online racing now.
- 3 years ago@EA_rephii So how far into the development are we talking here? Q3 2022? Q4 2022? Q1 2023?
Would be nice to have an estimate on when I can play with my friends.- 3 years ago
i guess that would explain why I can't find anyone to play with on multiplayer, most people probs bought on steam... I'm gonna get my refund from EA and rebuy on steam...
and I tried to get a refund but the page isn't working, what a shocker... guess I will have to wait to speak with live support
- 3 years ago
this is unacceptable, the development of the game is just unbelievably bad. no crossplay, many bugs but necessary resources were wasted on something as unnecessary as F1 Life.
F1 22 is already one of the biggest jokes - 3 years ago
Absolutly not acceptable! EA was talking on crossplay, yes. But crossplatform.. No link between steam and origin? That's it for me and this game..

Are you Kidding me?
Yeah thanks for the notice on Release day ffs
- 3 years ago
This was a joke right?
So it´s not even possible to be in the same lobby when someone ist using Origin and another one Steam?
HOW can you release a game with no working multiplayer. You´re forcing players to buy it on Steam or Origin and can´t even connect both?
This is ruining league racing. For sure

Yea this is ridiculous. Tried to request a refund through the great games guarantee but they said **Certain game editions that include virtual currency packs are excluded from the Great Game Guarantee.
Everyones preorder includes at least 5000 pitcoin so this is ridiculous. My confirmation email also said the game was eligible for GGG. Honestly don't give a F*** about the pitcoin just wanna refund and purchase on steam.
Another EA robbery. Introduce a feature that literally does baits people into thinking they can refund and then not having crossplay on day one.
