f1 2022 crossplay between Steam and Origin on PC

If I buy F1 2022 on Steam, can I play with my friend who bought it on Origin ?

    Hey everyone, 

    Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

Good news everyone! After hours and hours of failed support via chat, I managed to get phone support. The person on the phone told me this issue is known. And that it will be fixed within A FEW DAYS!

@Jaspervdw95 I will have to see it to believe it, in this case, unfortunately.
Call me a cynic but i don't believe that random support person, on the phone, will know anything about it. Even EA/Codemasters staff don't know what is cross-play and what isn't.
