f1 2022 crossplay between Steam and Origin on PC

If I buy F1 2022 on Steam, can I play with my friend who bought it on Origin ?

    Hey everyone, 

    Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

This is a joke to not have crossplay between Steam and Origin in 2022. EA ruins everything it touches, guess I shouldn't be surprised. Will be refunding.
