To be honest, it's not that annoying that they "missed" to announce that crossplay won't be available at release, it can happen to anyone. The most annoying thing is the lack of communication, intended or not, with F1 community in this case. Just thinking that EA, such a big company and they choose this way, not to communicate with us to give some ETA or something about when certain problems will be solved (in this case crossplay on PC, it's already one week since we've heard something) it's just incredible, i can not believe it, that's the most annoying thing...

@TheOGReeceTTVThat's the only thing you got from my comment? That i didn't do some lame research about a thing that i already said it doesn't botter me and that it's irelevant? Last time i checked i don't lose my time researching irelevant things to me. Move on mate. My comment was about the lack of communication from the big company EA after launch, maybe you have something to say about this thing too? Becase that's the real problem here. Do i have to make my research about that too? This is the last time i waste my time explaining to somebody what my comment was actually about when they can't see it by itself

@HempyjrThey didn't miss anything. It was announced that this was delayed all the way back at the start of May as the team they'd partnered with to deliver crossplay were based in Ukraine. Is it that hard to do your research before commenting...

This article is from April and was leaked even before the interview in May - https://www.xfire.com/f1-2022-small-internal-delay-supercars-cut/To be fair, whilst nobody should have expected crossplay between PlayStation, XBOX and PC at launch, I don't think there was any warning at all that PC players on Steam and Origin wouldn't have been able to race each other?
- TheOGReeceTTV4 years agoNew Scout@Ultrasonic_77 Well they only spoke of cross gen multiplayer between the different generation of consoles. This lead me to believe that pc players would only be able to play together regardless of platform when crossplay releases.
I guess not everybody read into it that way!- mariohomoh4 years agoHero (Retired)@TheOGReeceTTV Not everybody, indeed.
Usually crossplay refers to players with different hardware (i.e. consoles and PC) being able to share features together. PC is a platform in that sense, same hardware and OS family. Steam and Origin and Epic are storefronts, not platforms in that sense.
