f1 2022 crossplay between Steam and Origin on PC

If I buy F1 2022 on Steam, can I play with my friend who bought it on Origin ?

    Hey everyone, 

    Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

@ajobling1983 I didn't think the first article I saw was true, but now this is the second article stating this (sadly without any source).
I'd love not to guess anything, but sadly we're still lacking any information on what exactly is planned regarding crossplay.
Organizing a league currently really is a pain in the.. butt 🙂

@MisterJohnny420 I dont play any other EA games, but understand players between origin and steam can play FIFA together. Surely it will be possible here.

    @ajobling1983 Everything else wouldn't make any sense to me, but I also didn't expect the necessity of a crossplay feature for Steam/Origin :b
    Just hope I finally get any information here, missing the CM Forum times.
