f1 2022 crossplay between Steam and Origin on PC

If I buy F1 2022 on Steam, can I play with my friend who bought it on Origin ?

    Hey everyone, 

    Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

literally. what else is new. told myself i wouldnt buy ea again. hear some good things about the game and buy it on steam to play with my friends only to find out for the first time in my gaming history pc players cant play with each other due to where they bought the storefront. EA is complete zika. ea truly needs to go under soon
