@TinyR0dent The thing is, that it shouldn't require any third party programs, or hoops to jump through. We are using the same platform, which is PC. Steam and Origin are not platforms and saying they are is just bad faith argument. We need clear and precise communication from developers on when it will be sorted and reasoning why it wasn't implemented properly.
Somehow other studios under EA have it working, and don't define it as cross-play but Codemasters treat us, their customers, like we don't deserve an explanation.

The whole release has been a joke. The fact they just didn't care about issues it would cause. Even now despite no real skin off their nose they still aren't refunding or providing codes for the users choice of "Platform" for those that just want to get on and enjoy playing the game.
Yes they are a big company and ultimately they can do what they want and treat their customers badly..the question is why would you.
The lesson I'm taking here is not that I won't buy from EA, that would be silly. However I will certainly stop purchasing titles from Codemasters anywhere close to release and will just wait it out until I know that I will get a game that is for the most part playable and without bugs, probably at a discounted price too.
