f1 2022 crossplay between Steam and Origin on PC

If I buy F1 2022 on Steam, can I play with my friend who bought it on Origin ?

    Hey everyone, 

    Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

You have to keep in mind that parts of the studio responsible for the crossplay stuff are located in Ukraine.

@SgtChris_P_Bacon I think everyone interested in this topic is aware of that. We are talking about Steam and Origin which is NOT cross-play as it's the same platform.
