Forum Discussion
My friend and I bought F1 22 because we were very excited to play the 2 player-career mode on F1 22. We were shocked when we were confronted with the harsh reality that Origin and Steam are not able to play together, even though they're both on the same platform: PC.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, there's a completely different thread on this forum regarding that issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/f1-2022-crossplay-between-Steam-and-Origin-on-PC/td-p/11590169
Since then I've contacted EA about a dozen times, both via chat and via phone, and the "help" I've gotten has been dreadful. Almost all of the employees told me that this shouldn't be an issue and that I should restart the game and try again. One told me I need to clear my cache and cookies, I've been told on the 1st of July that it'd be fixed within a week and I've also been told by another EA employee on the phone that it is confirmed that it would be fixed in the next patch (we were at 1.04 at the time). Conclusion: I don't feel like I'm being taken serious at all.
I just have so many questions and I heard so many different answers. Why has there not been any official posts from EA regarding this issue? Why hasn't this been communicated before the game got released so me and my friend would've bought the same versions? Why isn't anyone from EA ever responding to the thread posted earlier in this message? How is it possible that the customer service is so bad that random promises are being made based on, apparently, nothing? And most importantly, when will we finally be able to play together? We're not even on different platforms.
It's been a month now and I really hope I can get some answers to (at least some of) my questions. At the very least some clarity regarding what we can expect. I think we (I'm sure a lot of people are waiting for this) deserve that after all our patience the last month.

Don´t worry buddy. I have it on the same plattform with my friend and its not working either.... We stopped to play because its literally unplayable.. crashing, bugs etc...
But I completely understand you and have the same experience. Its really unfortunate and I wish you good luck and that they will help you soon because your story sounds not so great...

Yea they do not care one bit because if they did, they would respond and commit to a date when this would be fixed. It is not within their best interests to do so because all those that play in a league have to buy this game twice.
I hope that other developers are taking note and I hope that EA one day will come to its knees because they rob their customers.
