Hey everyone,
Origin and Steam will not be able to play online together. When crossplay is introduced later in development, then all platforms can play together in supported crossplay modes (Social Play and Two-Player Career modes)

Good luck. I just got off of customer support and they will not refund me so I can play it with my league on Steam. First race of the season starts in 15 minutes.
Customer service offered me no option to remedy the situation outside of buying the game twice.
I will never spend another penny with EA. What an awful experience
For what it's worth, from about 8:30 on the following video someone from Codemasters says there will be an update on crossplay 'very very soon'.

CDKeys looking to dump the Origin Keys now whilst Crossplay is a promise (....of sorts....)
