@unnamed71Im not sure when any staff are back to work: As it’s Christmas. So you may have to wait for an answer. Unless there are any awesome members of the community about that have any knowledge on the subject…. Yes @SteveJackson I’m looking at you 😝

I’m not sure I can help with corrupt saves.
Only real backstop you can have is Windows File History set to back up local folders. AFAIK neither Steam nor Origin use the user profile so you have to create a rule to add the relevant folders. Plus, you have to decide to either disable or delete ALL your Steam or EA Cloud sync to use the recovered files or they’ll just get overwritten.
The gaming clients don’t really help with that. Steam should have a selective restore or the developers need to make clear how to recover parts of your save. It’s a bit flung in different buckets on Steam and the cloud is all or nothing based on file timestamps and nothing more sophisticated.
They have got some nice toys with differential updates within file containers (to help with downloads) and the file verification processes, also the various betas etc. but IDK really who deserves all the finger pointing.
Just needs to be better.
