Presumably the drifting is in one of the supercar events. I suppose the 'logic' here is it will be an event where F1 drivers are just messing about and having fun... The obvious fear is this is going to be very arcady nonsense but then David Greco has spoken about putting effort into the supercar handing so we should probably reserve judgement till we've actually tried it.
Yes I suspect it's the 22 version of the invitational classic F1 car events that were between races in career mode back in 2017. Go thrash a road car around for some bonus resource or acclaim points
