F1 22 (and 21) "enter" crash at first menu

Which area is the bug/glitch in? Driver Career
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Did you have cross-play enabled? No
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? launch the game?
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes and I get an EGO Dumper crash report.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to get past the press a key menu
OS: 64-bit Windows 11 Pro
Processor (AMD): Ryzen 5 5900X
Memory: 64 GB DDR4 3600
Graphics card (NVIDIA): Nvidia 3080
Motherboard: ROG Crosshair VIII hero (wifi)
Steps I have tried:
Updated graphics drivers
Updated motherboard bios
Updated c++ redistributables
Changed refresh rate to 120hz,144hz and 60hz
Installed new SSD
Tested all memory sticks two at a time, an one at a time in different slots
Tested all memory sticks with memtest
Reinstalled Windows 11
-Tried to launch before installing or hooking up any peripherals other than mouse and keyboard
Uninstalled Sonic Studio
Verified install files (steam)
Ran game as administrator
Installed game and tried to run it from EA play
Deleted the F1 22 folder inside C:\Users\[your_username_here]\Documents\My Games > "F1 22"
Disable steam overlay
Make sure any power settings are not on energy-saving mode or limiting your device performance
Ensure any security software (like an AV) is not interfering with your client and F1 or blocking the game's files from being accessible
Disabled anti virus to make sure it is not blocking the game
Logged into EA Play both online and in the app
I'm sure there is plenty more I have forgotten by now
Code is different almost every time, last 3 crashes are...

Also of note F1 21 crashes in the exact same way, it crashes when I hit enter during the startup video or one the "hit enter" menu has loaded

Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed. I kept thinking, I did a reinstall, I installed the bare minimum my keyboard and mouse software and it didn't boot so it has to have been one of those.kept thinking there is no way....well there is a way. Anytime I press anything on the wooting keyboard it crashes.
I'm guessing there needs to be a game update and it is actually a bug caused by the keyboard because I have had no issues on any other program with this keyboard.
is there anyone I need to tag to get this looked at further and resolved?Check the Wooting keyboard is firmware updated via the software then uninstall.
Wooting has never been on the supported list - if it will run with the MS keyboard driver it will be fine. It is I believe something related to the Wooting SDK, but yeah it has been an issue previously.
I wouldn’t trust that it will be fixed, there have been constant issues with this game and controllers, Logitech, Thrustmaster etc. add Wooting to this list. If there was a will to fix it, it should surely be fixed by now. Or the understanding to fix it if that’s what it is.
But another in retrospect that the symptom leads directly to the cause. Don’t feel bad - at least now you can workaround the issue knowing what it is. Thanks for feeding back, plenty would not have. 👍
