F1 22 Car Setups Resource

I just wanted to drop this link here. It's a fantastic place to find F1 22 car setups for every track, with a variety of car setups available for different scenarios, dry, wet, racing wheel, controller etc.

https://simracingsetup.com/setups/f1-22/

The guy who runs it has said he is hoping to get a good baseline race setup for every track before launch day/launch weekend.

Hope it helps!

Cheers

  • I know it's very early doors but is anyone else baffled with setups?

My Jeddah setup which is currently in the top 200 on Xbox is pretty similar to last years, just slightly higher (rear wing & toe bar eg 3-8)

However....... My setup at Bahrain is the complete opposite, suspension is like 7-3 on both?!

My diffs all seem to be 50-55 so far compared to last years 95-100, but I notice some YouTube videos people are still using 95.

So has anyone mastered this yet, and got a half decent base to work on? im baffled so far lol

Simracingsetup.com is a very helpful website - both in helping with understanding what the specific elements of the setup are doing and the suggestions for setup configurations. I used this site for F1 2021 setups and it gave me a very good starting point.

@dwin20  It’s also great that they go through and explain how the settings work in this years game and how best  to go about adjusting each setting.  And  something you should expect to see in the actual game menu and not have to find it on internet

  • @dwin20 yes, good indeed but not good enough. last year on f1 2021, i tried setups on this website and most of the setups were pre october setups, like brake bias on %57 (which is equavelant to %51 after that october update). older setups which are proper for earlier updates should be stated and we should be able to see when the setup is uploaded and for which update the setups is for. the site became useless for me after some time.
  • yep car doesn't turn so diff settings are the same as yours 50 50 nearly every track - try taking some rear toe off too

Here's a safe baseline to work with:

Take your front/rear wing settings from your favourite TT setup

    Transmission: 60-52

    Suspension geometry: RRLL

    Suspension: 3-1-5-1-5-6

    Brakes: 100-50

    Tyre pressures: Min - 21.5

Adjust the pressures so that your softer race compound doesn't exceed 97C core temperatures to avoid grip loss on overheat tyres.

The actual maximum is 100C but it is always good to leave a bit room for error.
