hello I'm going to try this method I still find curious because when the game came out in its first versions had no problem everything worked well and never hung I do not know because that now... regarding the issue of crashes, could it just be a RAM issue? I mean, if I add more RAM, will it stop failing? Or does the system itself, including the processor, not meet the minimum requirements?
You do require more RAM as stated.
But the CPU is a bit of both. The CPU itself DOES meet the minimum spec, but it's iGPU does not.
If the game worked previously this also does not mean it will continue to work as the updates arrive (GPU may not support some features in the game). The amount of shared RAM required may vary depending on your settings. The amount of RAM required may vary as the game is updated or as your configuration changes.
So ultimately I would add more RAM and a discrete GPU (in that order). RAM is fairly inexpensive, so adding RAM never hurts. 8GB is around £20. If the issue is purely RAM availability the additional 8GB would allow the iGPU to buffer but the system RAM would exceed the minimum. Still out of spec, but may work.
Adding the discrete GPU (cost may vary) to a RX470 or higher would also satisfy minimum requirement as the 8GB of system RAM would be available. The GPU would be within spec but I would not consider anything less than an RX580 (second user) and with 8GB of VRAM realistically. NEW GPUs should be fine (e.g 5500(+), 6600(+), 7xxx etc.)
@SteveJacksonNever heard off a discrete Gpu until today and weirdly not just from you but Linus from YT also 🤷🏻♂️
