I found it after I used flashbacks and used the outside line. It always happend in the corner after the back straight. It seemed to do the exact same thing and freezed up. I could only see the freezed cockpit and the engine roaring on repeat and that was that. In the end I skipped practise two and went on to qualify. Didn’t happen again.

This doesn't work, I reinstalled the game, restore de PS4 as a brand new with the system updated and the problem is the same.
- @EA_Barry this doesn't work, the console keep freezing after a couple of minutes playing, I even inizialize my PS4 and I'm reinstalling the game by the second time today to see is there are any improvement but until now I keep the same issue
This is clearly a BUG IN THE GAME, for PS4 platform.
It has nothing to do with the PS system, or cache, or databases...
Many people have experienced this in our league, making it impossible to compete.
So EA need to FIX this, IMMEDIATLY!
How can they release the game without proper testing? So frustrating...
- @ericmaia90 I agree, how was this not picked up during any testing phases on the PS4? This does need fixing as soon as possible. Let’s hope they release a patch soon.
Just had our first community practice race with 15 people, 4 on ps4 the rest on ps5, everyone on ps4 had the same problem.
Yesterday I also had t on multiple occasions, I have rebuild my database but this hasn't helped
- @EA_Barry Same problem on my ps4, I have a T300 and the wheel at the time of freezing goes with full force to the left.

Same, i have the very expensive TGT-2 and it hammered it so violently hard to the right it broke the motor, it was shaking like crazy right after the freeze, they're gunna pay for it i swear 🤬
Wasted again 2h of my day off. Crashed for 378th time. I’m done with this game.
EA das Problem liegt an euch, also behebt es auch. Man hat nicht für ein Game 90 Euro bezahlt, damit es ständig einfriert.
Wenn bei einem 100% Rennen kurz vorm Ende, dass spiel einfriert, dann macht's echt keinen Spaß mehr.

- @EA_Barry I've tried this and it is still freezing halfway through a race. The system software I have is the latest version of 9.60 released in May
same problem in online lobby. Unplayable must be resolved absolutely.

The developers NEED to look into it and get it fixed ASAP!!!!
@EA_Barry - This isn’t a fix. It doesn’t work. My system is fully up to date. None of the other games I own are giving me this issue. Acknowledge & admit that the game has issues and get them fixed.
Dont waste your time with this @EA-Barry guy he gives useless info the he knows full well doesnt work, they wont accept their game is a piece of broken **** its all our fault, evrybody’s and not theirs 😏
Still don’t get how you can launch something with such a crazy amount of bugs, and huge ones that make it completely unplayable. On top of that, they are unresponsive at all, pointless to drop messages on this forum or reach out to them through other channels, they just don’t care.

Also getting game freezes on the PS4 (original), I saw it is an issue on the Pro too.
just a question to all. I'm having the same problem but i now see dat i cant acces the patch also. Game say is up to date but gives 1.02 will 1.04 is also out.
Worst game in de history off codemasters.
I have the same problem , frame rate hits zero crashes game or game just crashes.. I cant even get one lap done.
I have a mid to high end PC.
I've done the following
- verified files
- latest video drivers loaded
- changed graphic settings to from, high mid and low
- run exe as administrator
Still cant get it to work...Really frustrating...
I’ve reset my console’s settings a couple times because of this bug and it’s still persisting. I haven’t been able to complete a race in career mode because of it. Occasionally the bug will also make me reset my PS4’s HDR settings if I close the software.
And to note, I have not gotten an error code with it yet. It freezes and stays like that forever. Closing the software causes my PS4 to force restart itself every time. So if it occurs, I’ve started manually restarting my PS4 to save myself the hassle of potentially having to reset my HDR settings as well.
THIS. IS. A. BUG. IN. THE. GAME. NOT. MY. CONSOLE. Not a single other game in my library crashes so hard that it crashes my entire console when I close the software.
wait... are we supposed to be on version 1.04, if so mine is also still 1.02.
where are the patch notes if we are on 1.04...?
