F1 22 disadvantages pad players - HUGE delay to inputs

F1 22 has a huge issue with controllers/pads.

As you can see from the video I uploaded there is a huge delay in steering compared to F1 2021, and this translates for pad players in being slow in direction changes and thus not competitive enough to challenge in major leagues. @BarryBL you know how fast I was in past games with the pad, but now it's nearly impossible to be at the same level as wheel players.

This has to be fixed, the "deadzone" at the center is way too strong and there's no possibility of changing it, I've even set it to 0.0 in the config file and I use less wheel rotation to help, but no setting so far made me achieve the same level of rotation speed and responsiveness as in previous games. This has to be fixed in this year's game please

@ReviyyYeah I know. But Atleast they are still investigating. 🤷‍♂️

@BadMayh3m   I rqfwd both Japan and COTA.  First half of the races without it and second half with a short extender.   And noticed without it.  Slight increase in input lag/delay:   I’m wondering if the lag is caused by sharp inputs. As with the extender giving extra travel means inputs are slower and more precise

If it's related to aggressive stick inputs it may be the steering input filter. @Reviyy Are there any tracks you find the input lag more pronounced ?

Said filter needs removing by Codemasters, or at least added to accessibility options. Should be up to the gamer on how what handicaps/aids they want.

@ScarDuck14 It is caused by sharp turns your pushing the front wheels and drifiting.
When you change to short sticks you need to lower OFF DIFF by 1 and see what happens.
The fact that you got around it by using extensions suggest that it's not a controller dead zone issue.
    But that is jmo.

@TotosHeadphones I’m also sure that FOV in Tvpod changes the steering axis.

I know how FOV view is ment to work and in cockpit it works as it should. But in Tvpod and offset pod. It feels tied to the game physics. I maybe completely wrong. But frame rate also effected the physics so 🤷‍♂️

If I go +20 FOV the car doesn’t want to rotate in the corners. If I go -20 FOV car rotates on a penny and I cut every corner.
