I'm a controller player, in 2021 i had 0 problems to play without traction, was pretty quick and very competitive in leagues. Now with F1 2022 i'm struggling too much, not only because it is difficult, but because there is 0 vibration/force feedback in traction, even if i increase to MAX the force feedback in the game settings. I don't know if this is intended but this is frustrating to play with the controller, in 2021 at least i knew why when i was spinning, but here in 2022 it's like RNG, once you lose it, you can't save it, at least with the controller. Please EA if this is not intended, fix it. [I play through steam and even in the steam settings theres no fix about it]
Had a much better time tonight with traction and rear end snapping. The main thing that help me was to reset my G920 wheel and pedal settings in the Logitech Gaming Software. In the LGS I had the throttle sensitivity all the way down. In the game I had linearity set to 40. This was causing some weird throttle mapping issues which created a very sharp increase mid way through the range of motion. A a result, I had massive wheel spin and constant loss of the rear end. I set the throttle back to the default of 50 in LGS and set the game linearity to zero. What a difference! I immediately had better starts and much better control on the throttle application. I also changed the wheel rotation to 320 in game which made steering feel a lot more responsive.
The second thing that help a lot was working on the car setup. I modified the Miami maximum top speed setup for more stability and response into corners and more control out of corners. I went from struggling to stay in the top 5 to winning the Grand Prix several times in a row at 85 AI with no assists.
I really enjoyed the game once these adjustments were made and the Miami track is really cool.

@HansenhausI’m not wasting time with this game anymore, but I’m a Xbox series x player, All other games work just perfect. And I even check All the pedals configs. But no way I can fix this. I’m almost shure that is a bug or something.

The real drivers said that the real cars have way more traction. And that was on F1 2020 or F1 2021, cant remember.
Why they reduces traction on throttle so much is beyond me, makes no sense. Has to be edited and sure as hell can be edited. Hopefully a patch will do this.
- 3 years ago@PBR3491 You’re right, on onboard cams, you don’t see the drivers struggling with the steering wheel like the past years. The cars seems to have way more grip
