this is just a game guys. just avoid to utilize first second and third gear and you are ok lol
If you want simulation try assetto corsa, with some older f1 turbo car with H gearbox, You will notice EVEN that cars, with 1000+ horsepower and '80 tech, got more grip in first gears than in this game! This is has nothing to do with throttle managemen, there iis just too low grip in first gears
PS. There is NO such a grip with any open wheel car on ANY sim games. Most probably you’re missing the fact of engine modes, turbo or hybrid system settings.
For example, with Sf70h on Assetto, you can step on throttle without almost any wheel spin on charging and battery recovery mode. If you adjust it to hot lap SOC and mgu-k to motor, then you can lose traction on 4th gear even depending on your setup etc.
The bottom line is, please stop referring Assetto or any other game here.

what is the common “meta” for formula 1 games for years? I’ll tell you. Short shifting. 2nd, 3rd and even 4th gears are only used for car rotation during deceleration under braking and turn in. The rule is jump to 4th under acceleration on almost any corner. Is this realistic? If main complain is too much torque on low gears, then why use them? Just jump to 4th then? Wait. You want the game to be completely useless under 4th or 5th? Adapting your driving style to a more realistic way is much more difficult than complaining I guess. Because when the traction and torque recalibrated under low gears there won’t be any reason to use them on the exit of corners. And short shifting will remain as even a bigger meta until next year.

sry but it's like this by always, if you want sim you buy a pc, consoles if for granturismo style game.
Plus i don't understand money factor, in 2021 pc were gratis thanks to mining, i bought a 3090 at the end of 2020 and it payed for all my pc with my 3090ti.... so stop talking about cost plz, you spent more with your console than me with my pc with the 3090ti....
F1 2022 never been a simulator, it's always been a symcade
But when you try real simulators you will notice that actually they are a looot easiest than this f1 game, if you want more realism than they have to fix traction cause right now in first second and third gear it seems to drive on ice :Psry but this is the reality, if you want a sim, you must buy a pc
- 3 years ago@Artax04 I want realism and I can’t buy a Pc. I have to spend my 5x my salary in order to run those games. Answer my question. Why this game on pc shouldn’t be a sim too and option for casual playing? Is it because you want it so? You don’t want sim enthusiasts to be happy? What’s the problem with you guys? Btw, simulations are not easier than F1 games. It’s not the matter of difficulty but difference.

again, this game is NOT a simulation even on pc.
Simulations are other games, and they are not on consoles (there is assetto corsa but the playstation version is terrible)
I understand what you wish, and i'm really sry for you, i'm just saying you the reality.
Simulators NEVER been on consoles, it's like this by always.
To run simulators usually you need good cpus to calculate the phisics, how a console could handle that?
On acc i utilize my cpu a lot to reach 120 fps, on this game it never goes upper 50c.... (it's a * 11900k but still tons of time more powerfull than every console on the market)
I'm sry for your money situation, but again, i'm not rich too, i had to mine the * out of the graphic card to buy my gaming pc. And now you probably spent more than me.
Simulators are easiest of THIS f1 game, i mean that in first second and third gear without TC, you have too low grip in this game and it's the most unrealistyc things of all.
