After playing the game longer, a couple of other notes about grip levels and traction became really noticeable:
1. No Tc starts, I noticed this in f1 2021 as well, but seeing f1 22 make it worse is incredibly frustrating as the starts are just incredibly unrealistic with the amount of wheel spin you can get, forcing you to do an incredibly tedious and unrealistic system of just short-shifting and just touching the throttle (literally just touching, not pushing or feathering, literally touching) and even then you still get an incredibly slow start compared to the AI or Real life
2. The biggest issue with the traction control I believe is actually the stability rather than the grip itself, the issue I have noticed is that the car takes too long to Regain the grip and stabilise rather than just lacking in grip. The car loses too much stability in corners and then takes too long to regain the grip, causing spinning and sliding where there really shouldn't be rather than just lacking grip in general. This was also the same in f1 2021, but as it has not changed at all in f1 22 it is just frustrating due to numerous f1 drivers stating its unrealism
Now if these issues were to be fixed, it could most likely be in an update and IMO would make the game miles better, a night and day difference both in the experience of driving and in the realism of it; seeing as many f1 drivers have previously and currently stated that the tc and grip physics of the cars in the codemasters games are just plainly unrealistic

@SertacKaratepe_ " I guess if you able to drive it’s realistic and when you aren’t it isn’t. Btw, starts are just fine too. Delightful indeed 😉"
Bold of you to assume that I can't drive, but even if I couldn't; your argument doesn't make sense as f1 drivers have literally said it's not realistic. You can literally search it up or even read previous posts in this thread which mention and state this exact fact. Saying that I am complaining about realism because I can't drive is not only wrong but also makes you sound incredibly childish as you are resorting to insults rather than discussing and having an open dialogue
As for people who say it's supposed to be an arcade/simcade, it can be both a sim and an arcade, in fact, the game literally already has a system for this with the beginner, casual and expert "play modes" in settings, hence why I am focusing on the expert/more realistic part
I never said we shouldn't seek realism IIRC that was someone else in this thread who you are confusing me with so your point about "hypocracy" does not make any feasible sense to me- 3 years ago@LittleAmigoBrit no man I’m not insulting anyone. I’m being really curious recently. About driving an f1 car realistically. It’s an honest question. Which f1 driver said that thing and when? Id like to read/watch that interview.
I’m assuming your inability to drive upon the fact that lots of people are driving, competing, enjoying the game and except for the serious bugs currently bothering everyone. Why can’t you?
