There are developers who think that the harder the game = the more realistic. We have several examples of real drivers testing these games/simulators and saying that low TC or low abs (other sims) is the closest way to real life.
Just get a hotlap with telemetry and/or cam pedal and see how confident and early the drivers are on the throttle.
Okay, that's another car philosophy, but anyone who has ridden the W12 on iRacing knows what I mean in relation to confidence on the accelerator but being penalized for going over the point, as it should be. There similar inputs generate predictable and similar results, here in F1 22 similar inputs generate totally different results, totally taking away confidence, especially in muscle memory.

Can you link to one such example? The last time I've actually seen something like that, i.e. a driver saying how the game felt more realistic with a certain assist on, was back in 2020 and commenting on F1 2019 as that year's title hadn't been released yet.
- 3 years ago@mariohomoh My comment was not specific to F1 22 but generically to racing titles, besides the rare case of Max/Norris criticizing an official product (2019/2020), you won't see this all the time by the way.
About drivers commenting on games physics, they are usually on streams where they are asked about this similarity, so I recommend following some and finding their channels.
But more specifically about the F1 by CM, I have already been on the track with Tony Kanaan and Bia Figueiredo in F1 2021, during a championship held by Heineken, they only played with aids (detail that TK is a monster in iRacing and has the best of equipment), I've also participated in the Fittipaldi brothers' championship (Enzo and Pietro) and they only run with aids too, remembering that Enzo is a F2 Driver and Pietro a F1 Reserve Driver.
And for us mere mortals, just check the driving that you have to apply and compare it with real life videos, you don't have to be an Pro/F1 driver to understand about pedal inputs and know when it's more sensitive than it should.
When there are simulators (where several professional drivers are, such as Alonso, Barrichello, Verstappen, Norris, Drugovich, Kanaan, Felix da Costa, etc) and there it is EASIER to accelerate an F1 than here, it is a sign that something does not sound right.- mariohomoh3 years agoHero (Retired)@Jato_Italiano Thanks, but I was looking for actionable feedback from real drivers like we had during the lockdown streaming spree. I don't follow much streaming, probably only Aris Drives when it coincides with me having some free time in my hands, but the outlying remarks and highlights tend to end up in my radar anyway.
I prefer direct, specific feedback over this general observations because of how easy it is to take what we see and extrapolate on the conclusions and assumptions. The smoke is plain for everybody to see, what would be noteworthy is someone with experience pointing out the fire itself, in my opinion.
I take you're Brazilian? Que isso, o cara jogando com o Kanaan! Aí é nata!- 3 years ago
I wonder if I am getting enough grip levels and traction.)
